My home set up

Sweet stuff bro!

I plan on adding an uppercut wallmount and my gym will be complete

Mega, what kind of bag is that? Obviously a fighting sports bag, but what model, and do you like it?

Gixx,

It's the fighting sports heavy bag/grappling dummy in 140 pounds. I switched out the stock nylon straps, not because they were low quality, but because I needed shorter length in the garage.

As far as the actual bag goes, I love it. It helps your accuracy by having to hit in a smaller head area at the top of the bag. I do upper cuts under the big curved part which I use as shoulders. I use the lower half of the white line as a foul also. I think the bag is triple ply synthetic leather, only $199.99. It's just a great all around bag for boxing, really builds punching power as well.

Thanks, there having a sale on these right now. Do you thinkvthe 100lb model would suffice? My issue right now is that I need to put it up and take it down each time I use it, and lugging the 140 might get old. Thanks

100lbs always does the job imo. I got the 140 because I had 100lbs for years and also because its my walking around weight. It's much harder to handle, so if you need to take on and off I would go 100lbs, but I'm a smaller guy.

Gixx 100 lbs is a beast itself, but 100 lbs is pretty steady imo. I think you could probably even get away with a 75-80 bag if you really wanted if it came with the D right at the bottom so you could anchor it.

Just stay away from anything lighter. But IMO 100 lbs bag is perfect.

Hey dog nice stuff. Ive been asking everywhere and anyone. Which do YOU prefer, fairtex or boon?

Thanks man!

Gloves-Boon
Shinguards-Fairtex

My 12oz Boons are my single favorite piece of gear!
They're my all around glove that I use the most.Snug, great wrist support, and padding over knuckle and backhand.Feels great!

But with Boon -even though my favorite glove-I had to unfortunately deal with the powder issue. So the ones I have now are actually a replacement pair.
And I was kinda disappointed how fast my shin guards started falling apart. They gave good protection though.
It seems that Boon has made some changes since I purchased my gear.So the problems I had should hopefully no longer be a concern.

Everything I have gotten Fairtex has been quality.Gloves,shins,shorts.
I really like the SP5 shin guards .The more I use them, the more I like them. They're lightweight and cover all the way from the bottom of my kneecap and over my toes. Also shifting is never an issue.

Overall I like both Boon and Fairtex equally as my favorite brands.

This will make days that I can't get to the gym much better

Truly! My home gym keeps me from being lazy.

@dog thanks brother i think i will go with a full boon set 2013 version because im ocd.

Just bought some 16oz Grants to sell on. Will post a picture of my Beaulieus with them, when I get them

they're second hand, just blue/black/white that standard colour. Just off ebay, had a low BIN price so just gonna put it back on to make a profit or sell it at the gym
