great gloves; how do you like the Fly gloves? any particular favourites out of those?

I love the Flys! They are perhaps my favorites, along with my lace-up 16 ounce Winnings (which I haven’t posted pics of yet). I have used basically every major brand out there (except for DiNardo, as I have a tough time shelling out a thousand bucks for gloves) and Fly and Winning are the best in my opinion.

Sorry that I am not him but Gil is Zepol. Casanova have changed the name Gil into Zepol.

So I guess its quality is just same as Gil

How much use have you put on those Campeon? They look a little more on the vintage side. I was going to say most of them looked unused but I can’t blame you if you have over 25 pairs hehe.

Also I see you prefer the protective style of gear Winning/Fly but which is your favorite out of all the Mexican gloves?

(Side Note: I too wouldn’t consider Di Nardo’s even if they were made by Unicorn leather.)

You should snag a pair of Golomb’s before they’re no longer made.

Oops my bad I judt checked its website and found that Gil was sold as Zepol in the past. So it is the opposite to what I said haha

These guys quoted me 40USD for some lace-up Campeon gloves, and then there'll be shipping on top of that. They said they could make the gloves in a week. Shipping to Europe was a lot so I ended up buying Campeon gloves for 90USD through Juan Torres instead as I've already got gloves being made through him.

25 extra for shipping but I had already paid 80 shipping with the TM gloves. Campeon said shipping to England would be 80USD which seems the standard. So it was slightly cheaper for me to go through Juan but wouldn't have been if I didn't already have a TM order, although with Juan I suppose I get the advantage of dealing with someone I know a bit better and in good English.

edit: oops, actually I paid 55USD for shipping from Juan and then plus the 25 for the second pair of gloves

Perfect. I think you will have the new model then. I have the older model and it is very nice (other then the craftmanship) and I don't think he would go down In quality etc. Be sure to post pictures when. You get them.

for me the stitching around the thumb was loose, also there is a hole in the hand compartment over the thumb where some type of foam can fall out. no way for Juan to notice this but still. I love those gloves tho, I use them everyday for sparring. I bought my gloves a couple of months ago, but he changed supplier pretty recently I believe.
