A march and rally in support of victims of sexual assault will be held in downtown Toronto just hours after Justice William B. Horkins hands down his verdict in the Jian Ghomeshi trial next Thursday.

Organized by the Centre for Women and Trans People and the Office of Sexual Violence Support and Education at Ryerson University, the March 24 event is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. at Old City Hall and ending at Toronto Police Headquarters.

“No matter the outcome of the trial, we support people who have lived through violence,” the group said in a Facebook page.

“Join us in solidarity to support the women who bravely testified, the countless others who could not to go to the police, and people who have lived through sexual violence in our communities.”

My take - more evidence of the mental instablity, stupidity, and evil of 3rd wave feminism. This man is being put on trial for his livelyhood even though the evidence is clear it was consensual. The man-hating is so strong with this new breed of feminist filth.

Well you haven't been following the trial very closely. Everyone thinks Ghomeshi is scum and hit those women without consent. Those women just happened to destroy their own credibility by lying to the media, police, and crown repeatedly.

He will likely get a not guilty verdict, however there's still going to be another trial right after.

I haven't seen anything in the evidence put forward to suggest it was consensual. He'll get acquitted and rightly so, because the Crown hasn't been able to prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt because the complainants lack credibility. But there's a huge difference between being found not guilty a court of law and actually being "innocent". I have no doubt he's guilty, but whatever, it is what it is.
