Poirier down for the Gaethje rematch

It's a great fight but I want Poirier to prove he can beat a great grappler before getting another crack at the title.

Poirier/Arman
I’m torn between Dustin having to fight down the way Justin did, and getting the privilege of watching these guys have it out again.

Boring sloppy fight Porier beats him again. Let's get some fresh meat in the mix

The fresh meat have not be able to get in the mix, Fiziev and Gamrot both failed to do so when given the opportunity.

Lmao at calling this fight boring.

I do wish that the top guys in general would be more willing to fight down but this is the obvious fight to make now.

Come on.. you both need to fight a grappler. You got Dariush, Arman, Gamrot, and Oliveira waiting for you.

Would good to see Dustin fight someone else at LW

Respect to Justin for putting his rank on the line in a FOTN performance against Fiz

Dustin needs to do the same and if he does and wins then bring on this rematch

Imo Dustin doesn’t want that fight this late in his career. He says maybe it’ll happen but I think he takes any other fight he’s offered before that
Wild take.
Other than Conor or the belt he's shown take anything else at this stage of his career.

there is no right or wrong here you idiot. lol you are the one determined to be right about some phrasing that for the third time i don't give a fucking shit about if it was wrong or not. OMG lol
You keep responding and resulting to insults so yeah I'd say you care. I've never seen someone be wrong and admit they were and still defend themselves like this. This is actually impressive.

Yeah but dude conor is a HUGE money fight, you'd be stupid NOT to take that fight. Same with a title fight, No one refuses one. The problem with conor fights and title fights is not everyone is offered them.

Porier could probably earn a title shot by fighting gamrot, armen, or Beneil/charles loser it'd be perfectly reasonable and justifiable in those cases aswell.

Gaethje hurt him badly my man, Porier himself says it was the worst "bangover" he's ever had. And this is a fight he WON. this was In 2018 years ago when they were both much younger. Now? at 34 with likely one last title run in you, I don't think Dustin wants this fight because even if you win this fight, It can shelf you for a while and the older you get the worse recovery is. It could also be the straw that breaks the camels back career wise like it was for tony. Guys like armen and gamrot can wrestle you and maybe gnp but they aren't likely to give you career altering\ending beatings. Not trying to imply he's a coward or anything, but it's not a smart fight to take at this point in his career.

Fight against Justin isn't a fun one for Dustin. The fans definitely win. Who the fuck wants to see them against Gamrot or Arman? This is an offering to the JBGs.

I'm fine with a rematch, but the UFC continues to mismanage this division, just like they've done with Bantamweight and Flyweight. What else is new.

Come on! You know Arman is nowhere close to a fight with Poirier right now.

Dustin was #2 and fought down to #5 his last fight. Justin also fought down coming off a loss. Poirier is coming off a win.

No one really for him to fight down. Doesn’t make senses aside from Gaethje

Bw is one of the better managed divisions, top fighters actually fight eachother. the worst managed is WW by a wide margine IMO, followed by FW

gamrot is coming off a win. he could also fight islam vs charles loser.

Of course he is. Him and Chandler are desperately avoiding any up and coming challengers.

At least Gaethje has the balls to give guys lower in the rankings a chance. Poirier should be fighting Gamrot or Tsarukyan (I would say Dariush but he's got a fighting coming up against Oliveira). He knows even if he loses to Gaethje, he'll still maintain a high rank. But if he loses to Gamrot or Tsarukyan, he will fall a lot.
