The fans lose out on seeing the only legit test for Jones since he decided to go to HW when all the best aged out.

I’ve rewritten like 5 comments to this because there’s so much to say about what’s going on at heavyweight and in my opinion each perspective understandable. I agree that if Jones wanted a really nice cherry to the top of his legacy he needs to beat Tom, not Alex. If Jon really wanted to pay it back to “the game” he’d give a young, upcoming star like Tom the opportunity to beat him and take the reins, I don’t think his ego is going to allow that though.
