He's a hell of a lot better than he gets credit for. Most fools just think he is nothing but a power puncher. Yet he is a two time Glory champ (2 divisions at the same time), fought artem vakhitov to a stand still twice. If he was just power Artem would have cleaned his clock with ease.

I think he'd murk prime Anderson at LHW - MW it would be a toss up but I'd favour silva because of the toll the weight cut took on his ability to absorb strikes.

he's probably top 5 but number 1 is asinine. prime anderson beat elite strikers easily, slumped trt vitor in the first round. pereira lost 4 rounds against izzy and pulled out a fantastic comeback, but then he got brutally slept in the rematch. prime anderson would never.

Izzy and Alex fought better strikers than Anderson in kickboxing. The general consensus back then was that Anderson is the best striker in MMA but he wouldn't make it in kickboxing. He lacks durability and he loses a lot of his weapons in a kickboxing match. He wouldn't beat guys like Spong. I think Izzy and Alex are one level below Spong. Izzy and Alex aren't great combination fighters.

It's hard to compare. Anderson is an old gen fighter but he was so far ahead of everyone else during his time. The people he fought weren't that good at kickboxing. You have retired fighters like Vitor saying Poatan is like a 3.0 version of himself instead of 2.0. All these "newer" guys came up studying Anderson. Israel knows Anderson's skillset pretty well. That ongbak behind the back kick that Alex does isn't new. Anderson was clowning with stuff like that many years ago.
