Media Poatan comes out against Wall and Stall

This is such fucking bullshit.

He spent one round on the cage, and it wasn't wall and stall. Ank landed a bunch of big shots on him.

The funny part is that was also where half of the stuffed TDs that people want to give him credit for came from, a round that he decisively lost.

He was losing regardless, but I agree to an extent.

Remember TJ v. Sandhagen? Somehow TJ won that fight despite doing nothing but hold against the cage. Doing damage or advancing position or reset.

The unified rules were changed to favor damage as the #1 criteria like 7 years ago.

Dillashaw vs. Sandhagen was the result of judges not properly apply the rules.

Also, the two judges who gave Dillashaw the fight are among the worst in MMA and consistently get decisions wrong.

True, but late in the fight it appeared he knew he was ahead and was clinching a ton to just coast to a victory, which is something I don't really enjoy seeing.

He tried 11 TD's, kudos to Alex for defending him but he definitely didn't just clinch him lol. Cope harder tho

If the unified rules never banned headbutts, cage stalling wouldn't even be a thing

I get it, but it’s hard to convince people you’re winning a fight when you’re being controlled in place for a considerable amount of time. This isn’t like McGregor elbowing the piss out of Chad Mendes head from a position he was being controlled in. At the time I had pereira edging the fight but the 4th round was pretty clearly Anks and that was where the most egregious “wall and stalling” was happening.
"Controlled"

Every round from 1 to 3 looked close and could have Alex winning but the 4 and 5 ended up being 12 take down defenses and walk and stall... But the fact Alex did nothing the entire time and was so passive is the real problem

except you didn't lose because he held you against the fence. you lost because all you did was throw low kicks while Ankalaev was coming in trying to knock you out.

my man needs to come to grips, the threat of the takedown shook him and he literally handcuffed HIMSELF.

Why would you even type this? Didn’t even see the fight but comment on it? Wtf?

The majority gave Alex round 5.

If I saw rounds 1 through 3 and had it 2-1 going into the 4th.....

What can you deduce my scoring might be?

Love Alex but he avoided exchanges to avoid getting kod

Very close fight though - he wasn’t “exposed” as a lot say … if anything he proved he’s harder takedown than thought

No need for hate

Guys old and fights often as hell caz he just loves to fight - we should appreciate that

He beat Poatan's face in that second round. Then controlled him so Alex couldn't hit back.

lol
pereiera thinks he won the fight🤣

maybe CTE bro?
or maybe hes just doing this to make engagement
