I agree with you. No offense taken. Me and my brother did the best we could with the powerlifting knowledge we had at the time. We had no instruction. But doing the things I mentioned are doable right now cause he doesn't have much time. I think 35 days to his fight. The types of things I mentioned will make him more explosive come fight night. That and just being in shape, cardio and sparring is the best he can do for now probably. And if he is in good shape, quicker, explosive, technical, beats his opponent to the punch. On an amateur level you could probably beat a lot of guys in boxing. I felt some were making this guy think he had to take up powerlifting 35 days before the fight. and telling him he could do no plyometrics until then. I think he should incorporate some plyos now. I think that learning powerlifting would waste a lot of his time right now. He should be doing other things now . If he's gonna take up lifting, I'd do that well before fight night and not so close to it.
