A lot of people forget how unstoppable the Bron freight train to the rim was, in the first half of his career especially.

I miss watching this guy's prime.
He is probably the most complete player the league has ever seen. That 2016 run where he carried an overall mediocre Cavaliers team to beat the 73-9 Warriors was the best solo playoff run ever. LeBron vs the world and he won. Crazy shit.

Was sad to see TNT have to sign off last night and end their airing of NBA games. I'm not exactly sure why but it bummed me out them having their last broadcast.

I have enjoyed their show from the beginning, they really did a great job with the coverage. They began airing games while I was in college in the 80's and enjoying the Jordan years. I've seen so many games on TNT and they have been really good about consistency with their broadcasters that they have become very familiar.

I enjoyed their studio show more than any other similar show centered around a sport.

I'm disappointed it's over.

Lmao at all the nostalgia boomers in this thread.

LeBrick will never be as skilled or as great as Cant or Caniburton.

I feel like having a 5 day break before the Finals starts is not only unnecessary, it actually may hurt how teams perform early in the series, and not for the better.

The TV deals and time slots are already predetermined. Blame the other teams for getting shit on.

It's also better that both teams have time to recover and make sure everyone is healthy.

Does ESPN have anyone that is a decent analyst? I think the only analyst I saw that I liked was Tim Legler. I'm afraid they will do their version of Inside the NBA and have Malika Andrews or someone on it.

"Only lost one series as a legit championship contender."

Nice qualifying statement and mental gymnastics. You dont need to reach for stuff like this to build a case for GOAT

I viewed that as being quite generous to be honest. It's mostly a throwaway statement, especially considering he never lost while being the higher seed.

Would this be better?

"Didn't lose multiple series as a legit championship contender and didn't blame his losses on his teammate banging his mom. Also didn't get locked up by JJ Barea."

It's hard to imagine actually having a negative impact on your team when you're the higher seed. Lmao.

Everyone complains that the east was weak when LeBron was going to 8 straight finals but no one says anything how trash the least was in the 90’s. But I guess that’s what happens with expansion. Lmao.

They have a few but their studio show sucks IMHO. Try to guess the commentator by my nickname for them:

The mouth
The Babe
Mumbles
Decaf

I think the whole TNT crew will be moving together to ABC/ESPN so next year will have a familiar feel. I am always a little saddened at the end of the NBA season as it's my favorite sport by a long shot. But this year when TNT was signing off I began to remember watching them in the 80's when I was in college. I was surprised to feel some sadness with their sign off.

I guess it's partly because I was just a kid back then and now I'm a grandpa and it reminded me how much has changed in my life in 36 years. Some of the people I used to watch with are dead now and I couldn't help think of them a little.

TNT did a fantastic job and I have enjoyed many, many hours of hoops there.

Legler was the only good one on the old TNT crew. I'd argue he was the only analyst who actually kept up with the game during that era. Kenny and Chuck weren't bitter old haters but they coasted.
