PFL Taking Over

Bye UFC. Thank god no more USADA, better pay to attract higher level athletes. More fighter rights. All this will produce and attract higher level athletes. More young kids will have dreams to become a professional mma fighter with the dream to make millions. More families will start their kids out in mma similar they do with hockey and football, in hopes of making a great career out of it. Maybe mma will have a chance to reach its ultimate form.

PFL is the future, or more mma Orgs at least. MMA will become like boxing and more superstars will be produced.

There was also Steve Balmer dissing the Iphone in about 2008, saying how can it be a business phone with no keyboard?

PFL won’t take over anything until they improve the pacing of their events

Pretty sure at no point during its existence was Netflix bleeding out cash like a stuck pig, but whatever
Lol ok.
Most of the modern era companies which came with some revolutionary idea bled shitload of money for their first few years. They foresaw that their idea will bring them enormous profits in future.

Let’s hope this makes PFL better because honestly Bellator and ONE FC is kicking their ass in terms of entertainment value.

That tweet will be remember forever either way.

They either slay the beast and become biggest org in the world and he's a genius or they end up on the tombstone and he's just another fucking GOOF.

Lmao!!!! What

Fighters aren't going to be superstars outside of the UFC in America. Just not going to happen.

The big thing is the up and coming fighters are highly considering pfl over ufc. And pfl is getting a lot of the young talent.
That’s simply not true. You wanting this to be a thing and it actually being a thing are entirely different.

I follow a ton of regional shows with tons of prospects and they almost always say they want to go to the UFC in their post fights interviews after they win regional titles. It’s always “I want to get called up to the big show, Dana, give me a call.”

Not only does the UFC now have TUF, but it also has DWCS and Road to the UFC series which is the platform they put on to give prospects a platform and they fill those platforms with a lot of prospects easily. There’s many names on the PFL roster that fought on DWCS before they got signed by the PFL as the UFC passed on them during their fight on DWCS.

They signed Jake Paul and Francis to something called a super fight division. The only thing pfl is gearing up for a freakshow crossover exhibition fights
Being signed to the Super Fight division means they don’t have to compete in the regular season and will only be fighting on their PPVs.

Kayla and Pettis are also signed for the Super Fight division only and since the PFL doesn’t have a PPV this year, Kayla and Pettis won’t be fighting for them this year.

Perhaps the seasons extend longer then 1 calendar year...like of other major sports...or shorten the regular season but put in more 1 night tournaments and end the year with a super event or something... there's options in that point based system weve seen in other sports that could be applied..

They could also run small competitions leading to a bigger show later on .. like Heats or mini leagues leading to a grand prix finish at the end of the year or something based on regions of the world or even countries..

It will take abit of creativity but doable as there using a sport first based approach and there's lots of examples to use from the other sports
This is literally what the PFL is currently doing.

They have the Challenger Series and they co-promoted with regional events to put small 4 man tournaments to earn a spot on the Challenger Series. Unfortunately for the PFL, they had 2 in mind and only 1 happened which was the one in Brazil that they co-promoted with SFT. The other one they had planned was the one with an unnamed regional promotion in Africa that was even listed on ESPN+, but never happened. I remember this because I event created the thread for it on here. Here's the link.

This is a proven bad idea as they tried this with WSOF Global and it never really panned out. They are just using some of the bigger regional events and slapping the PFL tag on them, although realistically they aren't really PFL events. Back then they would just slap the WSOF Global tag on them. It's a desperation move to make them look bigger than they realistically are.

What I like the most about these threads is that you can see the people who create them clearly don't follow the PFL and are just blinded by their hatred of the UFC (even though they go out of their way to watch ever PPV at a minimum) and because they signed Ngannou.

It reminds me of that one guy who you could tell had never watched the PFL and was all hyped about them in that one live thread at the start of this regular season and then halfway through the card was already changing his tune and complaining.

If these folks who make these threads actually followed the PFL, you would see the live threads and PFL discussion on here in general get more traction, specially participation from those creating these threads. However, the proof is there. They don't even participate in those discussions and mostly just participate in the UFC discussions.

PFL is just the hot new thing and most people never seen it. It's an arguably worse product then Bellator in every way and all the stuff they say about Bellator; washed UFC fighters, mismatches, boring bouts, are more true about PFL nowadays, but they get a fraction of the hate
