News PFL champions series starts in July!

The PFL/Bellator buyout might have been the worst thing to happen to MMA in the last decade.

At least PFL were trying and that is better than what most of these B leagues ever do. Bellator was dead regardless. They basically gave it away in the end. Problem is I don't think the PFL ever had real plan in place with all these fighters they gained. Can they right the ship this year with that, time will tell. But so far they are having pretty piss poor communication with their fighters. Which I take as they still don't have much of a plan.

I don't know if I'd call a title fight between January and July to be "trying". To put things into perspective, Bellator almost had the same break between title fights between January and August 2020 because of the COVID pandemic.

They've had a year to get their act together. They've cut a huge chunk of there roster. There should now be no excuse to not keep their champions active.

They acquired these guys and given them one bout in 18 months… seems like PFL is out of money

Dividing the prize of a 1 million dollars to 500 000 $ was the sign. Ngannou offered good advertisement, but it drained them down a bit.

Some fighters in PFL are being paid 500/700/900 K $ per fights. That is why they will receive one or two bouts per year and not more. Why because if you make these kind of fighters fight multiple times per year you will bankrupt yourself.

PFL is known to pay more than the UFC at the bottom and at the middle, and as much as the top.

Running at a fast pace consumes a lot of oil, I just hope they can hold that pace for the next ten years.

I guess Rabadanov vs Nurmagomedov is not possible
The champions vs champions fights will be:
- Goltsov vs Ngannou, unlikely
- Yagshirmuradov vs Cory Anderson
- Musaev vs Kuramagomedov or Eblen
- Rabadanov vs AJ McKee???, he's not fighting Nurmagomedov
- Khizriev vs Kennedy??? Pitbull left

Sucks that we are all rooting for everyone to bolt to the UFC but the reality is that there is no solid alternative like Bellator used to be.

ACA is very stable. Islam Omarov and Magomedrasul Gasanov are world class elite fighters.

KSW is very stable but more a medium league than a big league. Parnasse is elite and worldclass. But it's a roid rage organization.

One is only good at lower weightclass and has it's elite fighters like Akbar Abdullaev but very less competitive at heavier weightclasses but is struggling.

PFL is struggling as we are all aware.

GFL will fail.

In the end, who can save MMA from the evil UFC monopoly ? Right now no-one.

MMA market is going to be multiplied per 3 in the next 40/60 years according to some, everyone will want his slice or a bigger slice, there is a cold war between many organizations, the UFC will remain the number one leader for at least the next 20 years.

Will be very hard to outperform them, but all hope is not lost. God will bless the world, and equality will be given. That is all we can hope for.

What I meant by trying was they swallowed up a big competitor, signed Francis, signed Jake(if anything ever comes from it), secured Saudi money, and good relationship with them helping them on big money event. When all these other B league orgs just seem to ho hum around year after year.

There is no doubt they had time to get their shit together and so far it seems they still haven't figured it all out based on their poor communication with the roster. We'll see how 2025 plays out overall for them.
