PetrYan avenged his only real loss

Outstruck Yan by doubling up on the body
Did you watch the first round ?

Limitations of striking statistics. I was like wtf how did the stats say Aljo outstruck him in 1. Went back to watch the round and they counted 11 love taps as actual strikes. Like barely touching his leg. Should count as zoning and range finding. Yan was controling the space and pressuring forward. Noone did anything to win that round. Looking at striking stats is trully uninteligent. Like Ape levels of inteligence.

Because he cheated, which is another legitimate loss.

I mean Matt Hamil didn't top Jon Jones. He won cause Jones cheated. Doesn't feel like a Hamil win. Yan beat the shit out of Aljo.

THe O'malley fight was definitely controversial, but both losses to Sterling were legit.

Even if Sterling had been just fine after that ludicrously blatant illegal knee, that is a DQ. He broke the rules, literally in front of the ref. He lost.

The second Sterling fight was also a clear loss.
I agree it was controversial but O'Malley won fair and square - R1 + R3 = win

R3 was obviously an O'Malley round so R1 is the only point to argue

And it was a reasonably close round but Yan started slow, O'Malley did more and so that gives us O'Malley 2-1

Yeah but it's beating yourself. Not being worse than someone.
Yea, valid point. Just wanted to mention it cause it gets "thrown away" by many people - sports have rules, etc.

Pride rules Yan won.

Round 1 jabs vs takedowns. I personaly score damage over control any time. But Yan had a lot of takedowns. If you give the edge to Sean.
Round 2 Sean rocks Yan, Yan rocks him back and than just stalks and batters Sean the entire round.
Round 3 Hard round, Sean lands good hard strikes, it's competitive but clear Sean round.

Overal Yan won, Pride rules. Normal scoring criteria you can give it to Sean perhaps. Problem is Sean did a good job of nullifyng gnp when he got taken down. So it was naked take downs.
