I don't see how it's any kind of devaluing that it was specifically you they beat to become a champ. Like, if they beat someone else to become the champ and then later they beat you, that is somehow some higher level of being champ?

Weird how they had GSP training these guys, to fight him lol, although he wasn't champ at that time.

Doesnt meet your criteria exactly, but I love that no one knows this guy, while 3 of his losses are vs all time greats, and the fourth is to Mousassi who is also championship caliber.

Brunson is the only hiccup IMO in his run, since Romero is 100% champ material. Other than that Machida had a ridiculously impressive strength of schedule.

Yan's pre-UFC loss was BS BTW.
many observers, including the ACB president, know Yan had won the fight.
Yan later avenged this loss in a rematch in April 2017, defeating Magomedov by UD.
 
Without looking at his record, Tim Sylvia was probably close.

Only lost to Arlovski, Mir, Nog, Fedor, Randy

Oh I guess his loss to Ray Mercer ruins it. He was a boxing champ though LOL
 
Justin Gaethje if you count Poirier as a champ (interim champ)
