Everything else was unlucky. The only fight he really lost was to Merab 1 and he reported a broken hand. He beat the shit out of Aljo and won vs O Miley.

I'm not suprised by the result. I had a feeling this happens.

Yan is my favorite 135. Now you see why.

Aljo is the luckiest fake champs. Even his title defenses were vs one armed people.

Petr won champ. Kickboxing, Thailand reigned supreme.

3 split decision losses, 1 dq and 1 real loss he avenged.

The West can lie and commit injustice against Petr Yan but nature put the king back on his throne.

No. The rematch with Sterling was 100% a "real" loss.

Should be a draw. What did Aljo do to win the first round. Nothing. First fight Yan moped the floor with him and still lost by DQ.

THe O'malley fight was definitely controversial, but both losses to Sterling were legit.

Even if Sterling had been just fine after that ludicrously blatant illegal knee, that is a DQ. He broke the rules, literally in front of the ref. He lost.

The second Sterling fight was also a clear loss.

First fight Yan screwed himself. He was winning clearly and messed up.
Second fight wasn't a draw lol, Sterling won the fight. Was it competitive? Absolutely. But Aljamain won.

The Yan we saw tonight wouldn't lose that fight imo. This was the best version of him by far. He was on point in all facets.

Apex Predator. Regardless of race.

O’Malley beat him and Merab dominated him way worse then he beat Merab.

He still has work to do.

People are never satisfyed. Dude dethroned the dominant champ. You think he isn't doing the work at Tiger Muay Thai.

How did Aljo won round 1 ? He won 2 & 3 by stalling on Yans back. Yan won 4-5.
How did Aljo win round one ?

if you think about it he's one of the most resilient ufc fighters given the circus of weird losses hes had. its rare someone goes this long between titles
I commented before this fight that he's kind of an enigma.

He has looked world class at times, but has also delivered what appeared to be uninspired performances.

But when he's firing on all cylinders, he's a seriously solid fighter.

DQ for being an idiot is a very real loss.

Good for Yan tonight tho, that was super impressive.

Ha ha nice one I'll use that; 'O'Miley'. You're right, that fight was the biggest robbery in modern UFC history imo.

Yan winning rounds 1, 4 and 5 in the rematch is a justifiable scorecard.

Merab is the only fighter who's decisively beaten Petr.

There's a difference between that scorecard being "justifiable" and pretending it's not a "real" loss as though it was a robbery. Of the 18 media scores, 11 had it for Sterling, 5 a draw, and 2 for Yan. That's a "real" loss. It's not Sanchez/Pearson or something.

I score that fight a draw

I didn't ask how MMA Guru scored it. I asked if you think Aljo did something to win round 1. The other 4 rounds are clear, Aljo won 2 3, Yan 4 5.

I would need to rewatch, but I know at the time and the one time I watched it since (quite awhile ago) I scored it 48-47 Sterling. You can reasonably disagree, but acting like it's not a "real loss" is dumb.
