He improved his strength and cardio drastically... did you see how yoked he looked in this fight vs the last?Did Petr Yan need to improve his cardio ? Sure.

Well it’s not a fair comparison as he was remarkably injured in the first fight. He improved his strength and cardio drastically... did you see how yoked he looked in this fight vs the last?
Not an easy feat. The blueprint is there to beat Merab.
Forward pressure with a constant jab. Quality takedown defense and immediately getting up if Merab gets a takedown.
What an amazing performance from Yan. Very surprised that he was able to turn it up in the latter rounds against Merab who is known to be a cardio machine.
Bravo. I never knew he had that capability. Looking forward to the rematch.
Merab threw 458 strikes vs Yan’s 251.Keep crying sherbro.
Yan outstruck, out wrestled and out cardioed Merab.
Merab threw 458 strikes vs Yan’s 251.
Merab had 26 TD attempts vs Yan’s 9.
You dumb fuck yes Merab did way more, but lost because Yan’s were relatively better quality.
Not an easy feat.
I like the last sentence. Well observed.Correct. However, Cory, O'Malley and Umar all have the ability to execute that plan in terms of skills. The cardio is the issue. Without landing damage and making Merab work to get a takedown, merab has the cardio advantage. But as we saw, when you're moving merab backwards and doing damage his cardio isn't the weapon it is otherwise.
Khamzat recently started working with a guy whose fighters were busted for EPO, but I don't think he was Russian. Can someone refresh my memory here? The two other are champions who recently have gone up in the weight class and won belts.
Russia and peds are old friends.
Yes, Sam Calavitta.Khamzat recently started working with a guy whose fighters were busted for EPO, but I don't think he was Russian. Can someone refresh my memory here?
Right! Thank you, the name wasn't coming to me.Yes, Sam Calavitta.
He also trains in the Olympic training center in the Russian mountains, which is quite hard to access. And of course he is a Dubai resident. So let’s say he got some good resources.
You mean T.J Eposhaws american endurance coach?Yes, Sam Calavitta.

You're really going through the 5 stages aren't you?Oh yeah Khamzat became a 5 round fighter recently too
You are completely embarassing yourself in a thread about cardio trying to say that throwing LESS strikes is HARDER on your cardio. You can throw 700 strikes. Doesn't mean shit if they aren't landing or aren't doing damage.
Yan landed 139 significant strikes
Merab landed 134 significant strikes
Furthermore, Yan 60% of his strikes compared to 34% for Merab.
Merab got TWO takedown. Yan had five.
Outstruck doesn't mean threw the highest volume. It's efficacy of the strikes.

Jesus Christ, retire your internet career before you say something even dumber. Maybe try doing something physical in your life.
