this is what a healthy HW should look like
his head reminds me of tito and bigfootThat’s still a bit small for HW. He should be 10 pounds heavier
Its a good thing USADA is gone.
Give this man some picograms.
I agree that Poatan could probably push to 240ish max, but he's only four pounds light than Stipe was for his rematch with Francis right now, that's pretty crazy.
Better than Ank? I dunno about that.I think Pereira would do fine at heavyweight. Don't see him getting the belt though, Aspinall is a better wrestler than any of the contenders at 205.
Saying that the two weight GLORY champ and two weight UFC champ has bad striking defense while he's only been KO'd once is a steep hill to die on lol. I would pick Tom to win via gnp TKO, but I think it would be a lot more competitive than people are assuming. Still agree that it is not a good matchup to make unless Alex is vacating and moving up permanently, I'd rather see him just clear out 205.I don't understand why people are even entertaining this dumb idea. Alex gets KOed within 2 minutes. His lack of proper striking defense (keeping his hands down) will be the culprit.
Aspinall only has to connect once. He is better than Alex everywhere and much faster as well. This is a matchup only a 12 yr old would make.
Up until the fight happened, the majority were still picking Stipe, and him being a light HW along with Velasquez used to be talked about as an advantage in the "new" wave of HWs until it wasn't. Every few years in the past decade we've flip flopped on "You have to cut to 265" and "You have to be around 240" depending on who's on top.The fight with such a brutal discrepancy that it looked like child abuse?

Alex having a weak chin is the biggest myth on this board IMOHis striking defense in MMA and in kickboxing are different. His hands stay low due to the threat of TD. Aspinall has heavy hands and Alex's chin is far from the best so...
But Stipe got a wrestling backgroundStipe was 230 in the second DC fight.
I agree, Poatan only got KO’d once in his whole career, just check out this thread of mine:Alex having a weak chin is the biggest myth on this board IMO

Truly the brazillian Anthony Johnson (RIP)That’s his normal walk around weight, he weigh 226lbs at the start of fight camp against Adesanya the first time around.
