I think almost by definition, being 1-1 in the UFC, I'd consider Izzy and Pereira even. I'd even go so far as to say Izzy might be "better," or more technical, but Poatan is bigger with more power. Let's also not forget Alex was saved 2x by the ref and bell in the fights he beat Izzy. Either way I think they both still come short of Anderson. But time will tell.

That was a 39 year old Anderson after 11 title defenses and it was one of his worst moments. Sure, I guess that version of Anderson wouldn't be fit to fight a peaking Poatan but that's not the Anderson I'm talking about.

I'm talking about the Anderson who came to the UFC and obliterated Leben. The Anderson who knocked Vitor out with teep kick right to the chin.The Anderson who ate Dan Hendersons best punches like nothing and kept pushing forward to dominate him. The Anderson who was hungry to prove himself at the highest level. The version of Anderson would have beaten Poatan anywhere the fight went IMO.
