Peak LHW Rumble or Potan?

I love Alex as a fighter… but I’m riding with my boy Rumble. Better wrestling more athletic better lead leg switch kicker and his chin is fucking incredible. I’ve seen him spar against Tyron Spong many times while we were at Blackzilians even though Spong was better he definitely lost many rounds to him and Rumble was the noticeably more powerful striker in there. I would HATE to be hit by a prime Rumble with MMA gloves on. Dude is built different…and I can’t possibly overstate that his athleticism was just better than anyone I’ve seen. At the Blackzilians in a sea of sharks he always just looked like a fucking megaladon. His only knock is when he used to dehydrate himself diminishing his natural abilities…. LHW Rumble can beat any LHW from any era on a given night. Bro was different.

Rip brotha

A real fighter with a reasonable take that doesnt involve unreasonably fanboying Poatan. Imagine that.

Rumble had the kind of fuck you power that made him dangerous in any matchup. Lean towards Alex, but wouldnt have counted Rumble out, especially if he threatened with takedowns.

I love Alex and while I can see him winning too, if I had to bet, I would put money on Rumble. Alex has never faced anyone close to as fast as Rumble. He was powerful yes but his speed was a big reason why he just so destructive too.
He can also wrestle pretty well and his ground and pound (especially against Bader) can knock anyone out.
Damn man. Still can't believe he passed away. That last Bellator fight of his is heartbreaking to watch. Makes sense why he looked like that but that badass still pulled off the victory.
RiP.

I honestly think rumble wins 8-9/10 times.

He had an Iron chin and true fuck you power

I would pick Rumble as well.
On top of the ridiculous power he is very hard to hit clean and he is a good wrestler.
I could see him approaching Alex the same say he did Manuwa.

Rumble panicked against Vitor. His panic against Alex would be next level.
There's something to consider there with the weight cut though. Rumble missed weight and they made it so that he could not rehydrate past a certain weight before he got into the cage.

He was essentially still dehydrated in there, which massively hindered his performance.

At least that's what I remember. I can try and find a source later.

If he wrestles he's got a chance. If he stands with him then I don't think it really matters how good your chin is when it comes to the kind of power Poatan has.

Not really sure how this is a debate. One is a champion of 2 divisions with multiple defenses and has beaten several UFC champions including a Izzy who is one of the greatest MW’s ever.

But rumble was “explosive” and “powerful.” Okay??

Alex by massacre.

I cant say who wins between those 2, all i know is that we would prolly not see a decision.

Tough fight. Alex is far more technical on the standup, but Rumble could rassle.

If Rumble doesn't use his wrestling, I'd guess the one with the better chin would win.

Hard to imagine Pereira surviving if Rumble was landing like Jiri was

Rumble is a damn good wrestler. He though he fought like a dumbass in the rematch with DC he won the first round in the rematch using his wrestling against DC. It didn't last longer than a round because it drained him bad but Potan isn't DC.
Rumble didn't have much cardio though or heart god bless his soul. If he doesn't finish Alex early he likely crumbles

People are way too into the Poatan hype train right now 😂

Also he didn't just beat them, he completely crushed them. People are forgetting how good Rumble was in his prime. He was just unlucky to come up when DC and juiced Jones were at the top of the division.
funny i only saw 1 fight where jones got a nc because of jucing
99 percent of his fights he fought clean

if u think im wrong you can gladly post his resume here
and show me all those dq via juicing

Rumble would've been a tough stylistic match up for Poatan. I think Rumble could've won a decision. Damn that would've been a great fight -- RIP Rumble
