5 round fight, full training camp, who would won more likely and why?

Anderson spends his night on his back and lands no submissions.

Peak Anderson got destroyed by Chonan and Takase.

DC would beat any version of Silva. There's simply no point in Silva's career in which he would be able to stop DC's take downs or submit him.

DC is simply a far superior fighter.

It could go either way. Two great fighters and both of their strengths are the other guy's weaknesses.

Five rounder definitely favors The Spider. It gives him more time to find an opportunity to finish DC. Look how he landed that hard kick to the body late in the fight, even at age 41 or 42 whatever he is.

Anderson can also take a lot of damage from the ground and pound and is less likely to get finished by DC. It is much more likely of him finishing DC. But then again, DC is going to get like 95% of his takedowns. It was just too easy for him.to take the fight to the mat.

50/50 on this

Winnable fight for both guys but Peak Anderson would be my pick. DC doesn't have the gas tank to effectively keep Anderson on the ground for 5 rounds. Once he starts to tire in round 3 it becomes Silva's fight.

I'd still say dc. He is better almost everywhere. In the clinch, on the cage, Anderson can't stop the tds, and Cormier holds him down easily.

The only way Anderson can win is IF Cormier gases in a 5 Rd fight AND he finishes cormier. The odds are with cormier.

With a full training camp dedicated to Anderson, he would do better on the ground and striking than he did last night

Prime Anderson had a solid chin and excellent timing (he showed flashes of that last night).

I was actually surprised at how well he did on the feet with no training camp. I'll be honest, DC seems like he is on the downside of his career (which is to be expected given his age). He couldn't finish a guy who literally walked in off the street and probably weighed 20lbs less on fight night.

Close one but for me it would be hard not to take Anderson in a 5 rounder. Legendary chin and 5 rounds to hurt DC. Plus it might not be as easy for DC to get the TD in the later rounds if Silva were much younger. Then again Idk, Cormier is pretty fuckin' good. Lol.

I am not an Anderson fan by any means but I think in his prime, with proper training for that division and for DC, I think Andy could beat him.

41 year old snapped leg 2 day notice Silva almost beat him, so I am confident a prime Silva would TKO any version of Cormier.

prime Silva would have finished DC after the kick. it would be a clowning on the feet.

Peak Anderson was way faster and more accurate then what we saw last night. Silva by tko due to punches and kicks to varies parts of cormiers body.

DC last night beats any version of Andy. It would look exactly the same.

DC beats all versions of Anderson.

But he loses to Prime Griffin's lightning fast hand speed.

DC beats any version of Anderson easily. He gets 1 TD which hed do effortlessly and the round is over if he wants. Anderson has no means to sub him or get back up.

This was such a garbage fight to book. DC should have fought a heavyweight.

Cormier wins 8 out of 10 times

Anderson's biggest weakness has always been tdd. Bad match up for him.

DC would have him on his back for 5 rounds (Though Silva could always catch him before he hit the mat)
