I think when people say that Floyd does not do damage they are referring to his fights over the last several years.
This makes me want to throw up.
We are boxing fans, not promoters. We want GREAT undercards so we get our money's worth.
We do not want shit undercards, so that millionaire promoters and boxers get more millions on our dime.
What kind of fans want shitty undercards so that the promoter pockets more? Jesus.
Undercard showcased a fight with a future Up and Comer, the true Lightwieght Championship on the line but thats not good enough.
On paper it wasn't a bad card.
He has undoubtedly done a fair bit of damage to fighters even in most of his recent fights. We're dealing with a Diaz fan from the heavies who occasionally shows up around Mayweather fights to complain about how stupid boxing fans (read swindled blacks and Mexicans) are for watching him fight.
I noticed when I signed on the day after the Floyd fight I hardly recognized anybody posting. I guess I should expect that after every big fight?
The UFC fans seem to have a strange inferiority complex about boxing. Always coming by to talk trash for no reason. But UFC isn't doing all that well these days.
Where did the term "heavies" come from?
I dont think it was that rampant last Mayweather fight in May, but for some reason this Mayweather fight was basically all the people from the "heavies" just bitching about boxing or whatever.
I dont know where the word heavies came from tho.

The mma forum used to be called "the heavyweights."
Floyd does zero damage eh? Tell that to Gatti, Mosley, Judah, Cotto, Marquez, Ortiz, all at least wobbled by Floyd. Instead of putting stupid ramifications on the "best ever" notion, try appreciating artistry for what it is. By your rationale here guys like Benitez, Locche, Pep, and many other should never be mentioned as great fighters because they weren't "destroyers." But the thing is, they were some of the best to put on gloves.

No one can say that Mayweather fights boring. A lot of his recent fights have been good too... Maidana 1 wasnt good? Canelo and Cotto were great fights too, the Canelo fight is especially underrated, fast paced chess match, lots of clean punching, and he let his hands go at time. Even the Gurrero and Ortiz fights werent bad, he was fighting agressively vs Ortiz.
Stop with the bs, you were the one who made the swindled blacks and mexicans comments being a smart ass. Who I'm a fan of has no bearing on the conversation at hand. The only damage he has done in recent memory is when he sucker punched Victor Ortiz. He doens't care about dominating and stopping opponents, only about pay days. Not the best ever mentality.
I dont think you really watch fights to really think that. there is a reason that guys quit throwing when floyd is in front of the there face.
maidana was hurt before he decided to bite floyd
I don't ever remember seeing him visibly hurt. If he was that adds to my point, why didn't Floyd make any attempt to up the pressure and finish the fight?

George St. Pierre was the UFC's biggest star. That guy basically tackled, then laid on people for 5 rounds. Talk about coasting.
