Pay Ngannou $30 mill, not Jones

What's with TS's pathetic need to see another man get paid a lot of money? Do you think that just because you're a groupie he's gonna give you a damn handout?

Dumbest thread we've had here in a while and that's saying a lot.

Pay the guy that just won the title with 0 defense get paid more than the one people arguable call the GOAT.

Makes sense.

why pay a guy who has been out of his prime before the Gus 1 fight? He clearly lost that fight, got caught twice in both fights against DC for illegal substances, went to razor sharp decisions against a broken foot Thiago and arguably a loss against Reyes.

Jones wouldn’t demand $30 mill if Stipe won. He moved up to HW because he knew he would get beaten by Reyes in a rematch and a match against Jan. He expected Stipe to win because he knows he has a better chance. Then he saw Ngannou’s grappling improvement and that scared him.

Jon knows that Francis will obliterate him. If this fight is gonna tarnish his legacy, his plan is to make sure he’s paid well for getting knocked out and his resume to change forever.

They always say don’t quit your job til you for sure have a new one. Jones needs a new manager.
Jones and his brothers have all made many many millions of dollars. Combined they have made over $150 million. Pretty sure he's not hurting for money.

Jones has beat every name youve ever heard of in their prime yet Sherdog acts like he is this unproven fighter. Ngannou stuffs one takedown from 40 year old Stipe and hes the unstoppable GOAT lol.

I know who Conor is.

You really believe Jones is doing this for the greater good for all?
Absolutely not, but it would be a precedent, regardless of his intent. As a fan, I'll take that. It's not like most movements get to pick their representative, just got to go with who is available.

What? I wasn’t even replying to u lol.

did you just snitch out your burner account?

Jones hasn’t had one fight at HW yet and he’s begging for $30 mill.

I would rather see Ngannou versus Tyson Fury in a boxing match and see him get paid $30 mill, win or lose.

Fury vs Ngannou > Jones vs Ngannou

Ngannou just got the title. Jones reigned at the top of LHW for 9 years. Ngannou has his biggest paydays ahead of him. If anything they should pay Jones now for all the years they had him at a discount.

The only fighter to make near 30 million off a fight is McGregor. And as much as I hate him, it's because he sells the PPVs.... He's had a fraction of the fights Jones has and has sold millions more PPV buys. So yeah.... They look at him and think consistently they'll make around 60-70 million off PPVs alone with him. Because.... they have. Jones hasn't broken over 800K buys and that was at the peak of this rivalry with DC. Sell the PPV's and you can ask for those paydays. The notion that you're taking a risk to move up to HW and that entitles you to make practically what you've made over your career.... you're fooling yourself. Jones is one of the best, but his actions outside of the ring have had an effect on his following and his PPV numbers reflect that. Between multiple suspensions... Legal troubles... fights canceled because of shit he pulled. He's lucky to be making what he's been making and the fact the UFC would even risk big fights with what he's been like. So no... I wouldn't give him anywhere near that... Maybe the the pair of them split 20 million with a larger chunk going to the champ. And they split the revenue?! Sure.

Jones isn't Conor, but he's been a consistent PPV draw for his entire time at the top. They had him at a discount for years.

The stupidity of people saying Jones deserves 30m citing as a reason that Wilder or Fury make around that while selling similar ppv numbers is just astounding.

Fury vs Ngannou > Jones vs Ngannou

This is some weird logic. So Jones doesn't deserve 30 mil because he's never fought at HW. Yet Francis does even though he's never had a fight in boxing.

How so? It seems like a fair comparison to me.

Anybody who talks about Ngannou vs Fury be a good matchup literally doesn't know shit about combat sports, no offence
