I hope that is his warm up set. This is a pretty pathetic weight. Even the weakest Sherdogger is able to rep for at least 50 times

Yeah its ridiculous, he must have some type of serious injury because I usually bench that amount with my thumb only

I've been lifting heavy recently, just did a 2250 Ibs bench press the other day and did a 2600 Ibs deadlift and a 2480 Ibs squat. I'm super jacked this week, I'll show you a recent pic of me from last week......

We've learned time and time again that bench press stats don't win fights. Yet for some reason men are obsessed with bench press.

Plenty people can bench more than him, but very few of them would even be competitive in an actual fight.

Bench press is not more Alpha than having the ability to cave another man's head in with your bare fists.

As far as I can tell, the best UFC bench presser of all time is Tank Abbott and he had a losing record.

Lmao the rep is fine. You don’t always need to smash the weight against your chest for it to count.
You don't have to smash them, but you do have to touch your chest with the bar for it to count as a bench press rep.
 
Could be doing a Spoto Press as well. Excellent accessory lift to make your bench bigger. You're supposed to stop 3-4 inch off the chest and it helps build strength off the chest
Spoto Press you have to pause the weight in that position, so not a Spoto Press, just a bad ROM.
 
He weighs 261lb and the video shows him benching 295lb. We don't know if that's his max, but strictly speaking on what we see. It's good but not impressive.

That's like 1.1x his bw.

It's not his max.. the clip shoes him do it multiple times.. he def can max more.
 
Bench press directly correlates to the ability of caving said head in. Add in the skill of proper shot placement ...
No it doesn't, completely different mechanics and uses nervous system in a different way

Pre-UFC he put up a lot more weight. He has changed quite drastically since coming to the UFC.

:D :D I'm nearly on your level. I remember you showing me your 14 pac before, I still currently have an 11 pac, but only 3 more to go to catch you :D .. although you might be on like a 16 pac by that that. The struggle is real, doing my best.
 
Appears to be 3 big plates on each side(6x45), one big skinny on each(15x2), one small on each(5x2) plus bar and cuffs(45+5) ... about 360 (maybe 380 if both big skinny are 25)
there are only 4 plates on each side.

2 big (45), 1 medium that may be 25 or 35 (can't see it) and one skinny on the outside thar looks like a 10. It's 295-315 depending on those mediums in the middle.

You missed the small plate behind the cuff, and it sure looks to me like 3 45's
I think you're seeing the lip on the outer plate and thinking it's a 5 when it's just part of the 10lb.
