Paulo Costa’s hype train has had a meteoric fall

Khamzat actually has skills. That's apparent to anyone.

No matter how you spin it, Khamzat is an untested hype train, he's no different than Costa, he's no different than anyone else who had fans jump on the bandwagon blindly, no one knows if he's the real deal but everyone wants to get hyped about something.

Izzy was just a horrible style matchup for him.

Costa is a classic brawler. He walks forward and eats some shots in order to get in the pocket and land bombs. He’s got relatively short arms as well.

Izzy right now is by far the best at distance management on the UFC roster. He was also a lot faster than Costa. That pretty much means Izzy is Costa’s kryptonite and is why he made it look so easy.

I don’t see Izzy losing anytime soon, it will probably take a very tenacious and iron-chinned wrestler-boxer of some sort.

It was funny seeing all these “hardcore” mma fans thinking that the big, slow, plodding brawler with the shorter reach was going to simply walk down Adesanya and knock him out because izzy is skinny lmfao...

Like these guys never watched Anderson fight Leben or something. They saw a jacked dude and all logic went out the window, it was a very bizarre year tbh.

I know lol, but he was oroginally known for his bjj in tuf + being a brazilian who's brother is a bjj genius i expected him to switch things up against somebody with top of the world striking like adesanya

During the time the fight was announced and the lead up to the fight, Costa showed unbelievable talent as an actor that he fooled many people into believing he would humble izzy. He deserves an Oscar. If I was in his shoes I would give up fighting and make movies or soap operas.

Costa has muscles. Plenty of Sherdoggers will continue to drool over him for many years.
