Social Paul Harvey "If I Were The Devil"

If I were the devil Id create a nation where people have the freedom to do as thou wilt. Id create a land that has freedom of religion.

Patriotic Christian Americans are living in a paradox. They think they can promote American ideals of freedom while also promoting a nation under God. They think its moral and just to allow people to worship different gods on every corner. They think they can have a nation where people are allowed to live completely contrary to Biblical standards but also remain a "Christian" nation. They're fools. These paradoxial principles is what allows the devil to run rampant in America.

People who are serious about the Bible understand that God does not support and allow freedom of religion and lifestyle. They understand God doesn't allow people to do as thou wilt.

You have to wonder about these patriotic Christian Americans who decry the devils influence and control over our society. You have to ask them...what in the world did you think was going to happen?

Fortunately the devil doesn’t exist and neither does God.

Funny. I always thought that if I were the devil, I'd trick the apes into believing that a book written to bolster their worst instincts and bigotry was the word of God, and try to get them to subjugate themselves to a false idol.

Well if I were the devil Id convince people they came from apes and the world created itself.

A sailor can have hope while the ship sinks around him, sure.

You think the ten commandments were written to bolster man's worst instincts? I can't even take these teenage angst level lib takes in here lmao. "Religion isnt perfect so nothing is good about it!" Ok....

That's false and stupid but ok. Ever heard of the dark ages? The pandemic of 1912, the great depression. Often times tomorrow us about to shit all over you and be a whole lot worse. Miss me with the on the whole, on the whole greater good AND atrocities occur as we progress. It's a feature.

ah 1965. peak usa.
Yeah, what a shitty time. They didn't even have fentanyl and weren't encouraging teen girls to have mastectomies yet. And the way things were affordable and we had tight knit communities that looked out for each other,... *cringe and shudder* .... hell there were barely any mass shootings either. Good thing we're where we're at now.

there were alot of shootings and deaths, they were just in the jungles of vietnam.........

Drivel, that can't withstand even a little bit of scrutiny and lm not even talking about the religious crap...

The world has changed and will continue to do so

Pretty sure Paul Harvey wasn't talking about Viet Nam.

Its fair to say it wasn't perfect. But to try to make any case for the current era not being immeasurably worse is Sillyville. This era's society has no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

All of this stuff was happening in 1965. The fact that we are still here seems yo mean that maybe most of that stuff wasn’t as horrible as he thought.

And now younger adults complain incessantly about the Boomers (damn hippies)... which came from the generation Paul Harvey was talking about.

GenXr's swung the pendendulum back towards the Conservative side...

And here we go swinging back the other way.

The cycle goes on and on...

It's not bad once you escape the big city centers... I love where I live SE of Houston, right on the Bay. Outside of looneyville inside the loop
