Because Tony is a grizzled vet who has been fighting top shelf competition for the last decade. Even on a bad night Tony beats the crap out of Paddy.

The UFC is absolutely shameless and disgraceful in their match making for fighters with Dana White privilege, Paddy should be facing a fringe top 15 fighter. Not a nearly 40 year old, 6 fight losing streak, hasn’t won a fight in 4 years Ferguson… I guess I’m glad for Tony’s sake he still being bankrolled by the UFC, I’m hoping that he’s being smart with his money and retires sooner than later. Supposedly he made an estimated $700k from the Diaz fight, his base is 300k, and for someone in his position he’s fortunate enough to still be employed.

All that being said, I won’t be shocked if El Cucuy pulls out a win regardless of his recent skid. The level of competition between the two is like grapes and bananas, Tony has faced strait killers up until the Green fight, where he actually looked good until the eye poke. Paddy has faced 2 who are no longer on the roster, his last 2 wins were over the #67 & 150th world ranked LW’s. Pimblett who’s record is 20-3 he should be going by Padded “Badly” Pimblett.

I thought Tony looked good in the Chandler fight until he ultimately got caught. I think Paddy will have to wrestle if he hopes to win this fight because I haven't been impressed with his stand up. If Tony can keep the fight standing, I think he absolutely has a chance to win.
