As tough as he is, I thought that his stand up looked really slow, undisciplined and sloppy. His right hammerfist thing came out and stayed out for the most part and he was falling over himself at times.

I guess if you’re going to take damage and gut it out, a title fight (interim or otherwise) is where you’d want to spend your brain cells. Where the stakes are highest. I don’t think Paddy has been in too many wars like that, at least not in the UFC.

Someone else posted this, but I’ll paraphrase it because they nailed it; Paddy ain’t beating Olives, Max, Arman, or Ilia at this point in time. Olives and Max are aging though, and who knows how long Ilia sticks around. Paddy could realistically occupy space in the top 3 at LW for a long time. He likely will fight for a title again.
