Paddy DROWNS Topuria

I doubt odds would refflect how much sherbros swallow Paddy's hype. I hope they do, because I'd bet the house on Topuria in this one

Topuria is beating Paddy but he would KO'd by Charles Oliveira. Ilia had to punch Max Holloway like 20 times hard in the face before he got his knockout blow achieved. So he doesn't really punch that hard. Oliveira with his heavy gorilla-sized-hand-punches will drop Ilia. Charles will then choke him to sleep.
Topuria has 8 UFC fights/wins. 2 by decision, 1 by sub, and 5 by KO/TKO.

That tells me he has power in his strikes. Maybe not 1 hitter quitter power. But how many guys in ANY division actually have one punch power?

Imagine being the first guy to KO Max Holloway in 34 fights, including 30 fights in the UFC.

And some random dude on the internet doesn’t seem to think it was anything special.. Because it was volume strikes that finally got Max KOd. Even though Max literally has the record for most amount of sig strikes delivered, and RECEIVED. Yet nobody in 33 fights actually KOd Max.

I think you might be a little biased in your assessment of Topuria.

No. Pimblett has horrible striking form when throwing and defending and Ilia would definitely put him out at some point. One thing that sets Topuria and Chandler apart (amongst many other things) is the footwork. Chandler more or less gives up on his gameplan when his opponent doesn't get KO'd within the first few minutes; whereas, Topuria's game is about intelligently applying pressure and finding different ways to back his opponents to the cage. While Chandler is very athletic, Topuria is worlds better when it comes to striking - and also isn't nearly 40.

Holloway has already taken too much damage in his super-long UFC career. A knockout like that was bound to happen. He does have a lot of power in his strikes. For Featherweight. It's not going to be special knockout power in the Lightweight division though.

Oh yes it will. Ilia is one of the best KO artists in MMA. 10 lbs isn't going to change that. 6 KOs, not TKOs, KOs in 16 fights at 145 lbs is foolish.

He sent the 1 LW he fought to the shadowrealm who looked at least 2 weightclasses bigger than him.

TS was HBomfromHell before ban and is a well know muzzie dickrider who will attack anyone who is/wants to fight one of his guys. In this thread its about shitting on Ilia because he wants to fight Islame Duckachev.

Topuria is much more skilled everywhere, I doubt the size difference is enough to even that out.

Just 2 fights removed from having his skills seriously doubted, and the prospect of Paddy fighting Ilia was scoffed at as undeserving. Now the two men seem to be on a collision course with both recognizing and respecting the others skill while simultaneously wanting to fight eachother in a big card. Such a great story.
