Pacman vs JMM

People saying Pacquiao "didn't think he won" have to realize the fight was so close even he knew it could go either way. How many boxers have honestly thought they won and lost a close decision? A lot.

And to those arguing for Marquez... who was hurt and in danger more throughout the fight? If you're going to try to pot-shot your way to a point decision don't get knocked on your ass.

Ridiculous decision. BTW, how the fuck did one judge arrive at 115-112 Pacquiao? How do you find SEVEN rounds to give Pacquiao? I gave Manny 3,4, and 9. That's it. You could theoretically make a case for 1, 10 and 11, but I gave them all to Marquez. There were plenty of close rounds, but Marquez was landing far more clean shots and dictating the pace. Manny only fought in 10 second spurts. Not enough to carry many rounds. JMM was doing all the work in between.

I GAVE MANNY 3-4 8-9 RND1 COULD HAVE GONE EITHER WAY BUT I TOTALLY AGREE WITH U

depends i guess on the person with the opinion.

since p4p doesn't really exist and lots of people make up their own (like myself)

does anyone have the actual criteria for p4p?

The tie breaker for P4P should be Ring Entrance

How many rounds did you give Pacquiao, and which ones?

I thought JMM won but there is no reason to whine like little bitches!! get over it and move on to Joel Casamayor (35-3-1) vs. Michael Katsidis (23-0) next weekend

If you add the rounds that you could "theoretically make a case for" then that's 6 rounds. Subtract another point for the knock down and you have (IMO) the correct scoring. So how's that ridiculous?

Close? Yes. Could have gone either way? Yes. Ridiculous? No.

Ok This Is The Last Time I Bitch About The Decision But It Reminds Me Of The Pbf Vs Jlc 1

I had it 6 rounds to 6 and I actually scored the 12th for Marquez. The knockdown made the difference for me but I could have easily scored it 7-5. If Marquez won the decision I wouldn't be bitching as much as some of you are now.

So you have to give Manny EVERY close round to get to 114-113! I take it you see my point about how fucked up 115-112 is, then, right?

BTW, bad math, bro. Six minus a point for a KD doesn't get you to 112. It's gets you to 114-113.

What a fucking bullshit decision. I'm a big Pacman fan, and he's currently my favorite boxer, but there's no way he won that fight.

I had it 116-112 for Marquez. I had Pacman winning only 4 rounds, which were rounds 3, 4, 9, and 10. 10 was extremely close and could've easily gone to Marquez as well.

I'd rather see Pacman lose to a better fighter, than win a questionable split decision. Marquez earned my respect and I really hope he gets a rematch, even though it might not happen at this point.

For those thinking this fight was closer than you think, watch the damn fight again if you have to. This fight was one sided, and Marquez made Pacman look like complete shit. Pacquiao was clearly outboxed throughout the entire fight, and was made to look like a totally different fighter. Look at the reaction of the entire crowd, even the diehard filipino fans were just as surprised as Marquez and every other mexican in the crowd.

Does this have anything to do with Oscar De La Hoya promoting Pacquiao's last few fights???

I was speaking of the 114-113 so that wasn't bad math. My fault for not making it clear that I wasn't justifying the 115-112 score. But I thought I made it clear by saying I had it 6 rounds to 6. *shrugs* Yeah, the 115-112 would be stretching it but you could say the same for both. Two judges had it 115-112 albeit for different fighters.

114-113 Pacquiao.

Oscar is promoting Marquez. I dont think its that hard a fight to score. The rounds that Marquez won, he clearly won. I think he clearly won 1,2,4,5,6,7, and 12. I gave JMM round 11 as well but that may have been close.

Gawd... I hate you narrow minded heavyweight posters coming in here everytime there is a big boxing match. I am sure YOU ALWAYS get a definitive winner in MMA. Jesus F'ing Christ. More proof why MMA is a better combat sport, right?

i got a way to solve this

if you are hispanic and thought JMM clearly won, make a post saying so

if you are philipino/asian and thought pac won, make a post saying so

if you are mexican or philipino and thought the fight could go either way, make a post

this is where i think all the crying is coming from

lol, okay you got me. I'm racist and bias toward Filipino fighters.

But seriously, I gave Pacquiao the edge (114-113) but thought the fight could go either way. I was disappointed because I wanted a more definitive win for Manny. I jumped out of my chair during that knockdown.

But my bias is more against out-boxers than Mexican or non-Filipino fighters. Manny pushed the pace and had Marquez in danger more times. That's why I thought he won the fight. That's just my opinion.

i'm part asian...i will let you know after i watch the fight next week.

I'm FL by way of NJ. I'm as white as Pee Wee Herman. I had 116-111 Marquez.

BTW, I watched the Filipino English language broadcast. Two of the their three announcers had 114-113 Marquez.
