Pacman vs JMM

Pac won the fight by SD IMO, didn't JMM also hold on to the ropes with 7 seconds in the RD he got KD in??? Lampley mentioned that should of been a KD as well. Marquez did a great job of slowing down the fight and countering beautifully, but he doesn't have enough pop to slow down Pacman, Pac kept pushing the action and was landing the harder punches, Marquez was hurt several times after the KD.

I agree from RDs 5-8 JMM dominated with countering, but Pac would land 1 or 2 punches at a time that would hurt Marquez. You can see Marquez hesistate a lot from RD 9 on because he had to respect Pac's power, he couldn't be anymore agressive because he doesn't have the power to match pac in a slugfest. He didn't box enough is my point, when he decided to throw it cost him IMO!

You're giving 5,6,7,8 to JMM. Most people agree JMM won 1,2 as well and clearly won 12 no doubt about that. That 7-5 JMM which would give him the edge. I had it 8-4 for Marquez but no way manny won 6 rounds.

he didn't win 12 IMO, Pac won 3,4,9,10,11,12 and score the kD, and he did more damage in the fight.

funny story about viloria (whom i always thought sucked)

i was about to put 500 bucks on the omar dude he lost to that was a 12-1 underdog

f'ing tamtam talked me outta it. tam owes me like 6 grand
lol, I remember that fight. Damn, I just can't stand watching his fights. It's like he has plenty of power but he's always hesitant to use it. He's always chasing around the out-boxers but not pushing the pace and really going after them.

That Thai fighter that went up against Luevano reminded me of Viloria. Frustrating as hell watching fights like that.

awsome fight decision could've gone either way, I think the KD made the difference, but would be nice 2 see a 3rd match between the there needs to be a clear cut winner IMO

both fights were clear Pacquiao has the more power, aggression and speed.

I do feel bad for Juan in the fact that he was always in the shadows of Barrera and Morales. I feel that Marquez in his prime could have beaten both Morales and Barrera in theirs.

Pacquiao is on a legendary run. I want him to keep rolling.

His own damn fault. He turned down the chance to settle this long ago, then lost like a dingbat in Indonesia.

all i got to say that in 2 fights Marquez has won atleast 16 rounds he put on a boxing clinic in this one yet has no wins agaisn't pacquiao i dont care to see antoher fight

A great boxer, a great technician like Marquez has the most problems with boxers. Chris John beat him soundly IMO. Even without the low-blow deductions, I feel he would have won. John kept his distance and jab the shit out of him.

Thank God whether or not you care is completely inconsequential.

That's right. Juan Miguel and his management were getting harsh treatment for the way they handled things.

Happy that Marquez got a nice payday. He has been fighting for chump change for quite some time and he deserves better.

I like to see Marquez against Guzman (tough fight), Jorge Barrios, or the hard punching Edwin Valero. He can beat two of the guys quite soundly and cash some paychecks.

marquez is a tool. he got a gift decision against barrera and now hes gonna bitch about not getting the win against pac. that decision could have gone either way.

Boxing is a joke, from the media covering it to its officials.
Marquez gets a draw in a much closer fight the first time around. Yet here where he clearly wins, he can't even get a decision.

Pacquiao supporters will never come down to Earth and admit the obvious. And that's ok, that's your typical fanboy for you. We're only human.... Spare me the "some rounds were too close to call" sugar coat talk, but Marquez clearly won this fight.

Both Pacquiao and Arum know they once again dodged a bullet named Juan Manuel Marquez. Only difference is that this time they got away with an awarded decision victory. And that is why Pacquiao and Arum will NEVER grow the balls to get in the ring with anyone named Marquez ever again....
