i just wish the republicans really understood the concept of power so they could guard against the left's high level propaganda, cause they're awful at fighting back. the left can take a position that has minimal support and somehow make it even.

I wish I could say I had faith for 2028 and that people will keep their minds about them and vote Vance or DeSantis in as President, especially because Trump won the popular vote in 2024 showing that a majority of Americans are sick of the typical shit. But I'm not so sure.

Then again, I think a lot of people can see through the democrat/RINO bullshit and see that what they are doing and want to do is really hurting our country. Not to mention how murderous and evil the left is. (literally)

The McCain/Bush/Mcconnell/Romney wing of the GOP are feckless cowards. They can almost never hold it together when it counts. Which is why I hope MAGA can survive and thrive after Trump leaves office, and they don't revert back to the McCain/Bush/Mcconnell/Romney party.

If there's one thing I can give credit to the democrats for, it's sticking together no matter what and almost always showing a unified front. That unified front is always anti-American in every way possible, but it's still impressive how cohesive they are. If the GOP could be like that then there might actually be some long term hope.

unfortunately i don't see MAGA surviving the midterms or '28. there's a foreign-backed splinter cell movement that's grown under MAGA and it's going to sink them. all the nazi rhetoric we're seeing in the last year is not organic but it's going to cost them. i wish they were smart enough to realize what's being done in their name but they won't cause the left's a million times better in psychological warfare.

It's hard to overcome the coastal cities for sure, but there's also lots of fraud too. For example, one of the SoCal counties in the last few years (I think it was around '20-22 timeframe ircc) voted 100% blue. That's impossible. No county anywhere is going to vote 100% one way. Even the reddest of red and bluest of blue counties still have a small number of opposite votes among them.

I don't know if the GOP can retain in the midterms, however, I don't think MAGA will be completely snuffed out. I'm sure it'll morph into something new once Trump is gone, but he's left such a momentous mark on the GOP that it will likely hang around for years to come. With guys like Vance and DeSantis, I hope they can keep a version of it going. It likely won't be called MAGA or pushed as such. But it'll be there in some form for a long time to come.
