PAC man vs Canelo who wins

Let's see how Pacman looks versus Rios. Of course this fight will tell us absolutely nothing, as Rios is just the kind of fighter PAC feasts on, we will at least see how he's moving, how his gas tank is, how his speed is, ect. If Pacquiao doesn't put together a full body of work, i.e. using flurries to steal rounds, then maybe he doesn't have the legs to take on a pressure boxer like Canelo at this point.

If Pac doesn't annihilate Rios, then it's time to hang em up.

That being said, a Canelo vs Pac fight would be interesting in the sense that Canelo is still very young, strong, has a lot of spring in his step and could possibly keep up with Pac with his flury of combinations as well...

This might turn out a little like Morales vs Pac 1. I'm just excited to see Pac back in the ring next month.

Agreed if PAC beats Rios, I think he could handle Canelo. Cinnamon had never faced an opponent with that kind of speed and punch out put.

Lets face it too, Canelo isn't that big, 5'7 152.

Rios and Canelo are completely different fighters and Canelo is quite big. He has weighed over 170 pounds on fight night, before. I actually think it could be a very good fight. Canelo is a fairly versatile fighter who is a good counter puncher. He style isn't actually all that different from Juan Manuel Marquez's, I don't think (obviously not a carbon copy, but they're both very good counter and combination punchers that do solid work in the pocket). Pacquiao's speed and output (though, we haven't seen the crazy output that Manny used to be able to put up in a few years) could cause Canelo a lot of problems, but I think Canelo would be able to find openings to counter, and his very underrated jab would be a factor. Ultimately, Pacquiao could maybe wear him out and take a decision or a late round stoppage but Canelo would certainly have openings to do some quality work and he is more than capable of hurting Pacquiao.

Pac can't defend counters....at all.

Canelo wins easily.

Having a lot of close fights with maybe the best pure counter puncher of this era (Mayweather is a lot more versatile than Marquez so I hesitate to call him a pure counter puncher) doesn't mean that you "can't defend counters". Marco Antonio Barrera was a very good counter puncher in his own right.

Bottom line is even if Manny is 75% of what he used to be when he was smashing Cotto and Oscar, he should beat up Canelo. But the jury is still out on him. One lackluster performance followed by a face down one, there's no way of telling.

Pacquiao can make Canelo his last fight should he win. It wouldn't be a bad way to go out of the sport.

It would kind of look like Pac vs Marg

That's not true. Canelo is more than a punching bag. Much more. He has great form. Good defense and head movement. Great jab. This is very naive thinking to say Cenelo bring the same things to the table as Margarito.

does manny make him fight at a weight that will ensure he is dead in the water from making weight?

otherwise canelo takes a UD possible late rd stoppage. The nuthuggery on here is absurd.

which one of you wrote that doghouse boxing article about the JMM vs Bradley fight proving that JMM landed a lucky punch?

Another anti PAC comment....big surprise...funny how you werent bitching about catch weights when floyd was doing it...

We got it...you dont like pacqiao...stfu already.

Everyone is not Floyd guys. lol

Canelo would tear Manny to pieces. Manny is not a slick boxer an no where near as elusive as Floyd. Canelo would be able to use every bit of that size advantage in a fight against Manny...

Lol!!! Stupid as hell! Hahahah

Who did Canelo beat?! Alfonso Gomez?! Mathew Hatton?! Hahahahahaha

Canelo knocks him out.

old shot margarito had manny running back to fight junior welterweights and lightweights lol

It's amazing that Pac's power carried all the way to 147 but expecting that it will still be there at 154 is a long shot to say the least. Also, Pac's chin is fading and going up a weight class wouldn't help that issue either. I think Canelo's size and punching power would wear Pac down and lead to a vicious KO in the mid-rounds if not earlier. Even if Pac was still at his best 154 would be a bridge too far.

If Canelo and Pacquiao want to keep getting richer, his team should try to get this fight made as soon as possible after Pacquiao faces Rios. Canelo's name has been hyped to death thanks to facing Mayweather and Pacquiao is a staple in terms of name recognition in boxing today. Pacquiao can probably retire after the fight against Canelo. I suspect Pacquiao doesn't have much steam left as far as a draw anyway and he'll have to retire soon so why not retire after a big fight against Canelo.
