Metal/Rock/Industrial Ozzy Osbourne

Izzy was great. His voice ia total unique and unmistakable. Has crazy range and just a great voice for hard rock.

I personally would not call Sabbath or Ozzy solo metal though. Some Sabbath songs maybe but I co sides them the original hard rock band not metal but im sure many would disagree.

Not to start an argument, but when Slayer, Priest, Pantera, Metallica, Anthrax and many others say Sabbath and Ozzy created metal...their opinion carry some weight....

I know its called metal and they are called the original metal band. To me its hard rock . My minimum to be metal is Metallica .

All good man, I ain't no gatekeeper or judgemental elitist metal fan (not saying you are) Love what you love, call it what you will...

...still metal to me

Wish I was there, but rocked out like i was 20 years younger over two days in my living room, so I'll enjoy the memories.

Final thoughts:
Anyone who shits on Ozzy as a performer has no credibility. Dude couldn't even stand and put on two memorable sets. Who the fuck else has ever done that? Epic final show.

Zakk Wylde backing Ozzys vocals when the old man was straining was some true Bro shit, dude is a legend and deserves more praise.

Sammy Hagar butchered his performance, very disappointed.

Billy Corrigan sucked and there were other vocalists I would've rather seen in his place.

That fucking Yungblud kid had a bunch of old-school metal heads eating out of his hands with his performance of Changes. Most impressive. I may never listen to anything else from him again but that was a once in a lifetime performance.

So many great acts seemed so happy to be there.

Gojiras lead singer seemed slightly annoyed he had to do a cover...but they did great and I need to listen to more of their shit

Axl Rose, bless him for trying (still better than Sammy Hagar)

Good to see Steven Tyler go one more time.

SLAYER!!!!

Can't wait to see Pantera at the end of the month.
Pantera recently os not great man. Always liked Primed Pumpkins.

Ozzy was a great show.an even drunk he was still good. Yeah Wylde deserves more credit - he wasnt Randy and got drowned by comparison but was elite in his own right. .

Well, Sabbath are half way between HR and HM !!!
However, while bands like Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin were starting to change rock by maintaining their blues roots intact in their songs and at the same time turning up their amps, Black Sabbath were turning up their amps, washing down the blues side of their form of rock and adding straight-in-the-face riffs and lyrics, all lined with that sinister to evil touch to the music.

I got to see Ozzy at all the Ozzfests and Sabbath a few times too. I also remember one of my first cassettes I got with my own cash was the Ozzy box set with the speaker grill from 93 I think? Good times.

Bro just stop, no one is gonna agree with you. As soon as the first note on the first BS album is played, metal was created right then and there.

You have NO IDEA WTF you are talking about.

Heavy metal had been a thing for nearly a decade before Metallica put out their first album.
Longer than that.

First Metallica album is '83

BS first LP is '70.

It all started happening pretty fast after that. Paranoid came out that same YEAR!
