Metal/Rock/Industrial Ozzy Osbourne

Oh man.....this is a rough one for me

The ozzman was a major part of my youth

Im actually amazed he lasted this long given his lifestyle.

I still think of that story Zack Wylde tells about how because ozzy was sober, Sharon banned all band members from alcohol on the tour

Zack wasn't cool with that so he filled some o'Douls non alcoholic beer bottles with Guinness. Apparently when Zack went on stage to do his solo, ozzy came out back and decided to try one during his break.

By the time Zack got off stage from his solo, Ozzy was 3 deep and saying "hey Zack, these O'Douls are pretty great. I almost feel like I have a buzz on"

Rip ozzy

An absolute legend and icon left us today. This is a man who transcended music and became a mainstream icon. Not many people don't know who Ozzy is even if they are not metal fans. That's not an easy thing to accomplish

RIP Ozzy and thanks for the good memories. Saw him 3 times live 2 times with Sabbath and one time solo with Zakk Wylde and it was an absolute bliss each time

RIP

That whole performance felt like a goodbye. Ozzy was on borrowed time as it was and all the tears that followed watching it were a thank you and show of love.

Yeah I did tell a few people I reckoned he was close to death, when asked why i thought this, well if you saw "Mama I'm Comin Home" you could tell Ozzy knew he didn't have long left. (I"m sure I'm not the only one who shed a tear watching that one, plenty in the crowd sure did)

He was a warrior. The man did what he loved until the end even if he had bad health

That's what i love about Ozzy. He wasn't a man who followed "guidelines" of society but he was true to himself and did what he loved the most which was signing and entertaining crowds until the end.

He has nothing but my utmost respect

This is it my man, a truly authentic bloke. I only saw him once in Sabbath in 2012, not sure I've ever seen a frontman who enjoyed being on stage as much as him, he seemed so appreciative of the crowd too.

Had tickets to see him in 2019 at Download here where he was headlining solo, unfortunately he pulled out a few weeks before so never got to see his solo act.
