News Ozzy has passed.

I loved Ozzy and Black Sabbath growing up, saw them both in concert, was a huge fan. It's always sad when someone dies, but he was an absolutely atrocious human being--murdered 17 of his owns cats, and was reportedly shooting stray cats in his yard during the lockdown. Obviously, he had a lot of issues with drugs and alcohol, but I don't think that's an excuse. Nevertheless, RIP.
what the hell for? He just hated cats?

Yeah i expect them to play a few more Sabbath covers over the next few tour dates at least, obviously Planet Caravan but also Electric Funeral.

Hole in the Sky would be my choice but yes..funeral is good too

If you have 20 min, this is a fantastic interview with Dana Strum about Ozzy and Randy.
Dana is one hell of a storyteller, if you like Ozzy this is fucking awesome.

He does a good Ozzie impersonation on top of the good story telling.

May he reign in power.

Saw him a few times in the early 2000's and even when he could barely speak he was still an incredible showman! A legitimate legend...

Crazy (train), I was just listening to Crazy Train(Live with Randy Rhoads) this morning. Then this news.

RIP to a rock legend..

Amazing that he got the last performance

I shouldn't say this but, he didn't die suddenly, he went to Switzerland to be euthanized and die with dignity surrounded by his loved ones. His suffering is over, it's time for the Prince of Darkness to jam with Randy again.

Without Ozzy and his part in creating heavy metal, I wouldn't have my career, my friends, my bands. I don't even know If I would have a purpose in life if it weren't for Ozzy. Thank you for everything.

Oh man.....this is a rough one for me

The ozzman was a major part of my youth

Im actually amazed he lasted this long given his lifestyle.

I still think of that story Zack Wylde tells about how because ozzy was sober, Sharon banned all band members from alcohol on the tour

Zack wasn't cool with that so he filled some o'Douls non alcoholic beer bottles with Guinness. Apparently when Zack went on stage to do his solo, ozzy came out back and decided to try one during his break.

By the time Zack got off stage from his solo, Ozzy was 3 deep and saying "hey Zack, these O'Douls are pretty great. I almost feel like I have a buzz on"

Rip ozzy

It’s hard to put into words what Ozzy meant to heavy metal and to all of us who found meaning, madness, and salvation in his voice. With Black Sabbath, he helped create this music we love. That eerie howl on “Black Sabbath,” that unhinged wail on “War Pigs,” the mournful cry of “Changes” these weren’t just songs. They were seismic shifts. He was chaos and soul, darkness and humor, tragedy and triumph, all in one voice.

Ozzy was more than an icon. He was a survivor. A man who wore his scars on his sleeve and still gave everything to the stage. From Sabbath to his solo years, from Randy Rhoads to Zakk Wylde, Ozzy was the heartbeat of metal for generations.

Now, with Lemmy gone, Dio gone, and Ozzy gone, only Rob Halford remains of the original generation of heavy metal’s true frontmen. That sacred circle is nearly complete. But what a legacy they’ve left behind.

Rest in power
Ronnie James Dio (July 10, 1942 – May 16, 2010)
Lemmy Kilmister (December 24, 1945 – December 28, 2015)
Ozzy Osbourne (December 3, 1948 – July 22, 2025)

Rest in power, Ronnie, Lemmy, and Ozzy. Thank you for the music, the madness, and the magic. You guys were the voice of the void and you will echo forever in it.

"You can’t kill rock and roll, it’s here to stay

RIP to one of my favorite artists ever. Got into him as a kid when Down to Earth and the Osbournes TV show came out. Ended up owning just about all his albums, and it was my gateway to guitar. If there is an afterlife, I hope he and Randy are jamming together now.
