News Ozzy has passed.

Why did Ozzy shaft Megadeth at his final concert? (Didn't invite them even though they were in Europe and available and wanted to do it)

1. Looks like the final concert had a full lineup anyway.
2. Mustaine isn't exactly a loved member within the metal community.
3. It was a charity concert, so it's not like they were cheated out of money.

Should have swapped them out with GnR who were abysmal.

They were the worst by some distance, their "cover" of Sabbath Bloody Sabbath was awful.

He and Sharon have had some battles over the years I believe, who hasn't Mustaine fought with I guess. But sounds like it wasn't Megadeth, whoever it was got kicked off cause they asked for money, I heard Motley Crue most likely, heard Slipknot suggested as well.

He's just entitled and bitter.
No idea the total money he's made over his career but its obviously substantial, and he's still touring and playing songs from 40 years ago.
Would have expected that to have some gratitude, but apparently not.
He's endlessly bitching in every interview segment I've ever seen him give.

Dave Mustaine is the Brett Hart of metal.

The band kicked off over money was Soundgarden

Husband and I both woke up with Changes performed by Yungblud in our heads this morning.

I'm a Mustaine fanboy but I'm not blinkered, he just never got over the Metallica thing. That said I think that's why he's still driven, they've had a very consistent post 2000s discography (other than Supercollider), even got another one coming up. I saw them twice in 2023, Dave's voice is even more fucked than usual, his solos are getting sloppy too, dude can still riff though.

Didn't even know they were still touring, how's the nerve of asking for money when Metallica, Pantera, Tool and the rest clearly didn't.

My buddies and I were let on their buses after a show in STL.
We waited for them to come out and they came looking like preppies. Dave looked like a fucking lawyer.

Anyhoo, I was talking to the busdriver and Dave, when a homeless women walk up the bus.
She was begging and wanted cash. Dave said if I give you cash you will smoke it.

He told some guy to take the food outta the bus and fill her cart. 1997?

Back on topic, Ozzys funeral procession is being livestreamed later today.

I don’t accept this as Soundgarden. Also I thought this was a one off for charity?
yeah which makes it even more of a shitty move to demand money from an even bigger charity event. I don't know what the lineup for back to beginning would have been, but I heard that the new singer of Alice in Chains and the guitarist from Mastodon would have been in the band, both of whom played back to the beginning show

Honestly seems like a rumour to me, any evidence?

Going to need to see some evidence here. the "new" lead singer of AIC has been the "new" lead singer for fucking years and want a punch up about Mastodon? I'm your girl.

You can put two and two together and figure out it was them. Months ago Sharon Osbourne announced that one of the bands from back to the beginning was removed from the lineup for wanting money.

The only bands that was missing from the original lineup announcement were Soundgarden and Mammoth. Wolfgang as well has Van Halen himself have always been close to the Osbournes so we can rule out Mammoth

Soundgarden was invited to perform at Black Sabbath's "Back to the Beginning" farewell concert but were unable to participate due to scheduling conflicts. The surviving members, Kim Thayil, Ben Shepherd, and Matt Cameron, confirmed they received an invitation from the show's musical director, Tom Morello, but were forced to decline due to prior commitments. They acknowledged the invitation and expressed their respect for Black Sabbath in a social media post according to Blunt Magazine.

Their official statement won't address this obviously, there was speculation that it could have been Megadeth but Kelly Osbourne confirmed that it wasn't them.

Here is news about the soundgarden thing https://blabbermouth.net/news/membe...cornell-with-king-ultramega-single-rusty-cage

Note in neither instance of Soundgarden are they actually playing under the name Soundgarden but its still the same music
