Even if he had been natural, carrying all that size isn't going to be healthy as he gets older.
Going on a vegan diet while he accustoms to no longer being a professional athlete will probably help as his metabolism sort of resets.

I dunno. My business partner and his wife are both longtime vegans and they both look amazing and are in great shape. They're in their 50s - I only hope I look as good as they do when I hit 50.
