Reem talked not many years ago about slimming down after his career because the muscle he had isn't good for longevity. Also he used PEDS.

Dude hangs with Wim Hof so it makes sense he is looking at healthful diets, organic foods, bio hacking etc - he knows he can always earn money on his name, coaching etc. Dude is follwoing through on his next stage of life. Good on him. Better than trying to stay some drug-yolked fighter for the sake of appearances or false glory.

Good for him.

LOL at "healthful." Wim Hof's breathing and cold therapy stuff is interesting, but his plant-based diet hasn't given him good results...

Reem is always extremely articulate and confident when he speaks, I like listening to him.

He's skinny (normal now) Im sure he's had to become vegan due to cholesterol and all the steroids, but good for him.

Hope he can enjoy retirement with his lovely new wife.
 
The need a league like Pride that blatantly allows any PEDs and give these vets a nice send off. That said Overeem has had several careers in one, if anyone deserves it, it's him.
 
Good for him, can't help but notice though when he's talking about the parasites in the stomach he uses his hands, his nails are oddly white & looks to be clubbing.

I'm halfway through the video, but it sounds to me that Overeem thinks he knows way more about nutrition and biology than he really does. He speaks with authority on a lot of bold claims that as far as I can tell don't have a lot of hard science to really back up. The problem is also because of his pedigree as a fighter and that he's charismatic that he's likely not going to receive a lot of pushback on those claims. He's a future hall of famer who has been in shape all of his life, so a lot of people are going to choose to believe him over a bunch of egghead scientists. So you tend to get in an echo-tunnel where you draw possibly erroneous conclusions with confidence, and off those conclusions you draw more conclusions with confidence, all the while impressing people with your adopted knowledge, it becomes a very shaky house of cards.

You can still be very healthy regardless, he's fitter at his age than most people in any age bracket will ever be. But it's probably not due to him 'detoxing' or taking overpriced spirulina powder in the morning. He went on this whole rant how it affected his ph-levels so it killed all the parasites in his body, which made him lose appetite for meat, because the parasites 'make' you want to eat more meat. And how high acidity levels makes your body smell (it doesn't). Any decent doctor could probably rip that whole story to shreds, beginning with how ph-levels are barely influenced by food intake, less than 1%.
