Overeem opens up as an underdog vs Miocic

If I recall correctly Randy Couture was usually an underdog in every fight he was in title defense or otherwise (except perhaps when he fought van arsdale).
Thats crazy!!! But it would be easy to believe but i think he was the favorite against vitor and tito and probably vera. U would think chuck 2 he wouldve been the favorite but i dont think he was

champions are almost always favorites, except in a jones vs cormier, or cruz vs dillashaw situation (im actually not sure if cruz was a fav, but i thot he opened up as one)

This seems about accurate to me, I personally am picking Stipe, but i think the odds are reasonable, maybe Stipe is a lil too heavy of a favorite there, but yeah
Rashad vs Machida. Machida was the favorite, that was absolutely nuts at the time.

Overeem has won the lottery when it comes to challenging titleholders.

Stipe is his best opportunity for capturing a title.

Ok, so there have been 2 occasions (including Jones Vs DC) which barely counts since he was already champ and beat DC, that go against the general rule that the champion is nearly always the betting favorite... I didn't mean that its ALWAYS true, of course there have been exceptions, but very very few

those odds are pretty close I'd say. Overeem probably underdog because of his...let's say "volatile" chin. Technically and skillwise I have Overeem all the way though. Wins in the clinch, at range and in the pocket is a toss up. Stipe is not taking him down either. But Stipe is a great boxer and will find that chin sooner or later...though I thought JDS would as well. Look how that turned out.
Ah well, this will be a great fight and the fact that we can't predict shit about it is why I love HW MMA. As another poster said please no injuries, and I'm all good.

Why are you so sure stipe can't take him down?

Take this to the betting forum. The reason Stipe is a favorite is Overeem's glass chin. If it weren't for that weakness Alistair would likely be the favorite. High chance Stipe knocks out Overeem.
If he makes pass the third round he'll definitely ko Overeem.

+130 to -160 is actually pretty even odds. Basically a 50/50 fight.

I hope people keep betting on Stipe so I can cash in later on.

Stipe crushes Overeem. Picks him apart and KO's him in the 1st round.

Well Miocic does have a sporting chance due to Reem's weak chin and his previous tendency to gas panic. But yes good value to put money on Reem here, he will do the same to Miocic he did to JDS except worse.

Years? There's been several better matchups than this. Stipe is barely even a draw or a popular fighter.
What in the world does that have to do with how good a fight or matchup is?

It is good, just not the best in years... what year had the previous best matchup in the UFC HW div.

I don't gauge how good a fight is by how many casuals it will draw
