Overeem opens up as an underdog vs Miocic

Basically Reem is the most skilled fighter, but Stipe is tougher with a better chin and fight IQ. Reem lost too many fights he should of destroyed the other guy in.

One big problem I see is how Reem reacts to aggression. When Arlovski and JDS pressured him, he simply put his back on the cage and covered up and waited for the attack to end. This isn't good against a good pressure fighter like Stipe. If Reem lets himself get bullied like that he's in trouble.

For me it's basically whoever lands the big strike first.

I know Stipe has power and Reem lacks a chin, but since Reem beated JDS who is a similar and better fighter than Stipe I definately favor fim.

Are people overbetting the champion or am I missing something?

Seems right to me. I think Stipe can take a lot of Reem shots. I don't know how many Stipe shots Reem can take.

Well a lot of people feel Miocic beat Dos Santos, either way Reem fought a far below par Dos Santos coming of 2 Velasquez floggings and a war with Stipe. And yes if Stipe finds ZThe Reems chin then the odds maker will probably be proven prophetic.

Reem is very experienced and skilled in all aspects of the game. Stipe is fast and tough.

It seems like Reem is on a great streak and has an awesome team behind him with whom he's got a lot of chemistry... That said, this is HW, and I wouldn't really ever bet on a fight here.

If I recall correctly Randy Couture was usually an underdog in every fight he was in title defense or otherwise (except perhaps when he fought van arsdale).

Alistair hasn't good chin, good cardio and Miocic still has excellent takedowns.
Stipe brings more problems to Alistair than JDS
