Rewatch Overeem destroying Pavlovich

Dude he wasn't almost KOd. He recovered immediately. Like go re-watch the fight. You're fanboying. Stipe got up and started chasing him.

Prime Reem vs Stipe would've been something else. But at that point the hirsemeat diet already stopped working and made him worse.

Ubereem that fought Lesnar might've been the strongest fighter ever. But it was illegal and unfair and didn't last.
He literally won a K1 Wgp in that Form. He stopped people there. The best strikers on planet earth without a weight limit. We all should know 250 pound Kickboxers with +50 fights expirience beat some 145 pound Thais and HW boxers who know how to fight with kicks but not punched.

Stop trying to downplay the fact that he got dropped. His brain didnt know where his legs were for a couple of seconds and reem made a tactical mistake ofgoing for the choke instead of punching more and didnt turn up the aggression. He stuck too closely to the gameplan. Stipe did a great job of enduring the punch and recovering and getting the finish. BUT HE DID NOT DESTROY REEM.

Yet, two fights later, Reem decimated Pavlovich.

Proving "there are levels" to this game ...

Pavlovich still = lower level.

Do us all a favor. Go find the nearest concrete wall and smack yourself head first about 10 times. Maybe some common sense will be knocked into you

Us all? We? Do you have a mouse in your pocket? Mice?

I don't have "common" sense; I strive for uncommon sense.

The ability to discern at a greater level.

If you don't agree with my thoughts, that's okay, but why do you take it so personally?

None of which changes what i said. Stipe had his brain rattled vs Reem. Just saying Stipe didnt "destroy" reem.

Those are called “Flash Knockdowns” The SAME type of knockdown happened to Lomachenko against Jorge Linares and I’m sure you know what Loma did to Jorge shortly after that. Basically what Stipe did to Overeem. Lol :D

Flash knockdowns happen. I wouldn’t really put too much stock into them. But also all these people dismissing Sergei because of a loss that happened FIVE years ago… Come on. Give me a break.

How many years was it after Serra TKOed GSP that George completely destroyed Matt in the rematch??? Fighters can improve.

If Pav’s clinch hasn’t improved Jones would kill this man

@Stone Golem

What the fuk are you talking about?

"Pavlovich still= lower level" because he lost to Reem a little while ago? Since then, he's faced "multi-losers, quitters, cover ups".

IMO, that second quote is the very definition of fighter bashing.

All that means is Sergei's first loss was to one of the all time great HW's.

That's all. He's done really well since, then, which is all that can be hoped of for a fighter.

Reem and Stipe had an awesome 1 round fight. They both showed they're very capable and hats off to Stipe for winning.

Calling Reem a "coward" is fucking ridiculous, considering his resume.

Sorry about that.

Let me clarify ... and I QUOTE:
  • "I can respect a man who only lasts 50 wild seconds with me a lot more than a man 'I have to chase around the ring for 15 Rounds'."
    • Jack Dempsey
Hope this clarifies.

I think the Stipe KD is more to do with him being caught in a bad stance, it's more his footing. When the punch connected he was standing square and his hips we're behind him. When in that position light even light punches can drop fighters. The punch had little impact on STipe.

to be fair, it would not be inaccurate to say that Miocic destroyed Overeem when you considered who brutally finished who in that fight via ground and pound

But who has Pavlovich really faced since that decimation?

Multi-losers, quitters, cover-ups.

Pavlovich has never faced another hunter, on an elite level, after ovary.

He folded (like a lawn chair) when pressured by an authentic man.

And yet, Overeem himself folded to Stipe.

I'm simply not convinced by the hype. Pavlovich has faced cans since Overeem.

lol at the bolded

and Blaydes, Tuivasa and Lewis are not cans. for the record, Blaydes has a brutal finish over reem (see what i did there), and Lewis - as one dimensional as he is - is a guy that Ngannou didin't even want to trade with. Pavlovich got him out of there quick. and then got Tuivasa out of there quick. Lewis fought for a title at one point and so did Tuivasa.

admit tingly, Pavlovich used to be a lot more tentative in his fights in Russia compared to what he became after the Overeem loss. it's like that loss instilled in his head the mindset to just go forward and overwhelm his opponents with his reach, pressure and power. in other words, he improved
