I'm quickly learning to hate them.

Well, not them exactly, just the people who bring their young children to them...

...then look at me weird...

...then say "I don't know" and "it's for the bigger people" when their kids ask how to use them, instead of showing them...

...then getting pissy with me when I say between sets, with nothing but good intentions "sir down and lift it up". They say "it's too much for someone who is FIVE", and I reassure them by saying "it's light, just be careful of the squat apparatus, as the locking mechanism with the bar isn't properly explained and they came here caught oddguard or stuck under it", to which I get a surly, defensive..

"Thanks"...

Also got shitty thanks when a man came along with his kid and his kid wanted to use the monkey bars, whilst I was using the pull up bar on the side. Politely told him that "I'm off soon. Just doing five and that's it".

I'm 6ft3, 260lbs of overweightness and 36. I recently changed jobs from a heavy lifting one to one with more mobility, and because I feel stiff and weak in the legs and back, I want to disuse heavy lifting and focus on mobility and bodyweight.

I'm able to keep it going more than when I was at the gym and I'm able to focus more on running and bodyweight exercises. I also like being outside more, but shit, I'm wondering if the £25 a month may be more worthwhile after all...

You should probably discourage parents from bringing their kids there. Otherwise you'll get a lot of case #2 where dumb parents bring their kids there thinking that any outdoor structure must be a playground, bothering people during their workouts. It's not a playground. They've already got shit for kids, they can go there.

There's two playgrounds in the same field.

I don't want to discourage kids from seeking fitness, but a few of those pieces of equipment are rather unforgiving...

TS asking the kid if he's done with the weights yet

Setting up a home gym was the best decision I ever made. I look back and think "What the hell was I thinking before?".

I'd love to, but I'm living in a small studio with the missus. It's very cramped as it is and she'd no doubt complain.

If I had room, I'd put in a punch bag, a bench and a yoga mat.

Are you talking about those weird ones that are free access at parks? Last time I seen one it was overran with Somalian refugees and their kids. My guess is they told them it was disney land

Lose weight. Hating on people at outdoor gyms is a waste of energy and unproductive.

Who ever bought into that COVID crap=Outdoor gyms

Just did a 1.3 mile run and am on my final sets of twenty push ups and five pull ups. I've done two sets of thirty and one set of twenty push ups, and these sets of five pull ups, but I do t like leaving until I hit one hundred push ups and twenty pull ups in total.

I feel weaker than usual. It's my third day on the trot.

Squat machine after, though I'm terrible at squat form. It isn't a good movement for me at all.

Getting my breath back after the sprint at the end of my run is half the battle, to be honest.

I'm going to the gym to lose weight. To lose weight, improve natural movement and to feel better.

I just don't want to see children getting hurt because their idiot parents let them climb all over the equipment.

You can't stop it man. I reason JBPs 12 rules for life. I'm paraphrasing but, kids need to fall. Not hospitalized. There's too many helicopter parents and soy boys. Girlie men. 60 years of feminism and be vulnerable <Lmaoo> And this is what modern women have to date.
