I worked at a film studio when she was filming Shanghai Surprize in the eighties. I saw her countless time, i literally walked past her in the corridors of the studio many, many, times, i couldn't get over just how ugly she was, i was shocked. Her profile was crap, pushed in face, yuck!
The trouble is, if someone appears on a screen often enough, and they have celebrity, the general population eventually finds them attractive after a while.
Plus her music is fuckin' shite! FACT! It's actually been confirmed by scientists. And by the way, they were wearing very clean, white coats when they said this.

I've never really thought Madonna was attractive. She's honestly kind of ugly. But surprisingly, she had a rather stellar body in her prime.

I don't recall ever considering Madonna all that attractive but over the years I have become convinced that there was some period in the 80's where she just had so much sex appeal that it did not matter. I will admit that I have never been able to prove that hypothesis.

Never found her attractive, but enjoyed her music.

I think the better way to say this and the way many men looked at it, was that she was not considered "pretty" but she was attractive.

Clearly she had an attractiveness beyond her base looks, and i think that was tied with her being a very visibly norm pusher when it came to pushing a form of female hyper sexuality on videos. That is something that will always 'attract' guys attention, which is why on nights out at bars even a woman considered ugly can attract a lot of attention by displaying hyper sexuality in the way she dresses and is acting/dancing.
