OSP & Karl Williams released by UFC...

According to Wiki, OSP and Karl Williams have both been released. OSP is unsurprising, thought he'd retire personally. Williams was 3-1 in the UFC HW division but I guess too boring for them to bother with.

Yeah as others have said, Williams is clearly UFC calibre albeit at the lower end. His takedown heavy style must have worked against him, too grindy.

The UFC prefers to fill out the roster with manlets and women because they are more cost effective.

They released Jared Rosholt and Justin Williams for basically... The same reason he's being released.

It's because he's a boring grappler. They don't mind if you're a grappler that does damage or goes for finishes but if you just take people down and hold them you'd better keep winning.

Guys have been released for being boring with positive records for pretty much the entire history of the promotion.
