Orlando Sanchez Dead

Wonder if he caught the same thing that’s killing all these other young athletes around the world…

Orlando was open about his drug addiction and how BJJ helped him overcome it.

He was morbidly obese and had previously been hospitalized with heart problems, he publicized this on his social media a few years ago.

Comparing a 40 year old former hard drug addict with heart issues to 'young athletes around the world' is pretty stupid.

RIP Orlando

Thanks to corporate greed, we can’t. Only government employees and companies with government support have good health care.
I get great healthcare and have my own plan. I got an mri next day and saw a specialist in a week, it doesn’t get much better than that.

More thanks to idiotic citizens not voting for the right candidates, and government reps allowing corporate greed to be a thing in the first place.

Didn't see this one coming, he recently shed a lot of weight and looked in good health for a big guy. He was a high profile member of the BJJ community, winning ADCC in 2015 as well as a training partner / coach of many mma athletes. RIP, my condolences to friends and family.

What connection could all these athletes that are just dropping like flies have?

Political greed.

Companies pay politicians not to move toward free healthcare like 99% of the developed world and the average American suffers. Everyone needs healthcare sooner or later.

He was hospitalized in 2017 with heart failure (he posted about it on social media) and was a morbidly obese recovered drug addict.

What is with you conspiracy morons, this isn't the place to post about that stuff.
so your telediagnosis is more valid doc?

I used to have good plan years ago. I ended up in the hospital recently with kidney stones. And had to pay $6000 out of pocket for a deductible.
That’s awful. I hope you don’t pay a lot per month for a deductible like that. I pay $400/mo for a $1,000 deductible and cheap prescriptions.

$6000? That's fucking insane. I passed a kidney stone at 18 as a senior in HS (worst pain in my life, thought I was dying) and *knock on wood* haven't had one since 11 years later, but I'm gonna drink some water reading that. Hope you are doing alright man

I'm not American so my understanding of US health care is limited - you pay $400 out of pocket, but is your employer is paying a lot to keep you covered as well? Is it possible to know how much your employer is paying? If you were to become unemployed, are you able to easily figure out how much you would need to pay to maintain the same level of coverage? Not trolling, genuinely curious.

I’ve never had employer healthcare, I’ve always been self employed. My buddy pays about the same as I do per month and the employer pays the other half, I’m not sure why it’s so expensive for him. And yeah if you lose your job you lose the insurance in most cases, unless you’re part of a union.

To say an obese 40 year old recovered drug addict who was previously hospitalized for heart failure was "an athlete dropping like flies" is moronic.

That doesn't require a doctor, it just requires grade school level critical thinking. Conspiracy morons never miss an opportunity to say something stupid though.

There aren't a lot of guys that fat competing.

From my non-expert view, what you don’t want is to carry a mountain of muscle relative to your natural cardio capacity.

Shorter and smaller guys who are carrying a ocean of muscle produced by gear are the guys who are really at risk.

Just running gear by itself isn’t that big of a deal, it’s the unnaturally high muscle mass relative to a small natural body that raises the risk.

Thanks for confirming!
