This makes zero sense and should never be happening. James Madison has no business at all, none vs Oregon. while there sits Notre Dame on the bench, yep, totally ridiculous and should be illegal.

We have two different levels of football going on there, JM on a far lesser level and everyone knows that, hell they know that. And.............Oregon at home, ouch~~~~~~~

Tulane another team ahead of Notre Damn and shouldn't be, if they are going to get silly with 12 teams then ya dump all that conference bullshit and go with the best 12 teams, as we can see they don't get this at all.

After the season is over we get the final ranking the top 12 are in, should be the top 4 but...............

LOCK OF THE YEAR......Oregon beats JM and covers the 21.5.

Getting back to the Fighting Irish

QB Joe Montana
RB....Jerome Bettis, Jeremiyah Love
Receivers...Tim Brown, Rocket Ismail
TE...Dave Casper

Who can give me James Madison?

The NFL needs a better system also, the NFC West Rams, Seahawks, Niners are all better than everyone in the NFC South.

Start by dumping this NFC vs AFC thing, go with 8 independant divisions.

Speaking of Oregon

Back in the early 60's the school ran soon to be pro footballers....

Jerry Tarr Broncos the worlds top hurdler
Mike Gaechter 9.4 Cowboys
Mel Renfro world ranked hurdler, 25 plus long jumper

and the great Canadian sprinter Harry Jerome

they ran a World Record 4x1 relay, very rare for an NCAA team to accomplish that.

But.....a few years later a team from USC with soon to be NFLers Earl McCulloch Lions and OJ Simpson Bills also ran that WR.

Just heard Cowherd..........

Tulane and James Madison, are you kidding me?

He also sees just how ridiculous this is, James Madison over ND, wow~~~~~

JM plays in a place called Bridgeport Stadium, how about.....25.000.

The league they play in, hahahaha~~~~

Hell wayching an NAIA playoff game on youtube, must be maybe 5000 in the stands and the stands are so small the camera can't get above it all so we see the game as if on the sideline, ha~~~~~

Different levels of college football, JM doesn't belong.

Oregon is big time College Football JM isn't.

you probably think it should just be 11 SEC teams and then maybe 1 other team is allowed in

Then what you’re saying is screw the small guys. Like in the history of college football a G5 school has NEVER ever pulled off the upset.

Adopt the FCS playoff, expand to 24 teams, have all the G5 schools play the lower ranked at large schools to weed them out, and boom, your precious ND gets in. Bowl games a friggin stupid now anyways.

But I’m sick and tired of dudes taking up for a school too chickenshit to join a football conference. If ND wants to talk the talk, nut up and join the Big10 where they belong, and walk the fucking walk.

This is not the time to worry about .....the little guy.....this is about the 12 biggest dogs in the neighborhhood duking it out.

JM plays in a rinkydink league in a stadium that only holds 25,000, this is OBVIOUSLY a lesser level of football. That is why Oregon is a 21.5 fav, we should never se that kind of spread in these playoffs, that is ridiculous,

JM has no business involved in this at all, as we will see, it could get ugly.

Oregon has had 287 NFLers, JM 27

Oregon destroyed Washington who beat WSU, WSU beat JM.

This is going to get ugly and fast, the two schools recruit a different level of athletes,

Myles Garrett - 21.5

Too bad they didn't keep that stat until after Deacon Jones had retired,
Football reference actually has a list that goes back to 1960 now. They keep an official and unofficial list

Apparently Al baker has the unofficial record with 23. What's really crazy is that was his rookie year in 1978.

Hate to see games of this importance where one team stands no chance at all, yep.......should have been ND.

I agree. It should've been ND instead of Oregon. I mean -89.5? Why even show up if you're the Ducks?

Don’t worry. Notre Dame now has a clause that will get them an auto bid with their tomato can schedule.

All this crying when their record was 2*-2 vs. ranked opponents. And I asterisk one of those wins, because the CFP only ranked Pitt to boost ND’s resume. Pitt was unranked in every other poll that particular week going into a bye, and somehow moved up two spots. Seriously…….fuck all the ass kissing that goes on for ND football. If not the Big 10, then they should become full members of the ACC like all their other sports.

Their 2026 schedule looks a joke too. One great game vs. Miami. An okay game against BYU. A meh game vs. SMU. Then tomato cans the rest of the way.

Hopefully the powers that be learned something and they do it right next season.

They should take it down to 8 and make it conference champs only and then have the 2 lowest ranked play a play-in game. That way nobody can bitch about being left out. Either do that or the FCS format.
