Can anyone tell me why the orange man is good? "Orange man bad" is a rhetorical tool used to distract from some particular position but it begs the question - does anyone actually believe this guy is good? That question almost never comes up.

If none of you can say "orange man good" and provide a case for why he's good, I have to assume that your support for him is largely reactionary, and he's the scuzzy solution to an even worse problem. Basically, you think Trump sucks, but the other side is worse. You might find you have some common ground with the side you hate then - that you, too, think "orange man bad" even as you fight the people who say "orange man bad."

Happily, in before "but all politicians are bad!" to distract from this very direct question... I think we can all take that as an admission of "Yes, orange man is bad - but I support him, so I need to deflect everyone's vision from that."

At a minimum his

Law and Order stance
Illegal immigration stance
China
Russia
Iran
And radical Islam stances are all great
He also is against communism and his stance against globalist bad trade deals like TPP that real leftists like Bernie Sanders oppossed along with real right wingers.

All of these I would say are all positive.

His negatives are massive tax cuts on the rich, deregulation, environmental policies, and socialist welfare for corporations. All or which just enrich the rich and hurt the economy or are made to also "stick it to liberals"
 
A lot of the reflexive Trump opposition is cringeworthy and embarrassing. It's also not even genuine as far as rich liberals are concerned. These are the same people who used to be friends with Trump and now claim to love George W. Bush even though his presidency was worse from any objective standard.


That said, the Orange Man is grossly fucking incompetent, and it's laughable that he got elected.

I understand voting for him out of spite due to the corruption of the political class in the US and their refusal to do anything for working people. I also understand Trump's appeal from the standpoint of people who are sick of fake ass career politicians who don't even come off like real human beings.

But I'm sorry, I really question the sanity of anybody who earnestly supports him as a politician at this point.
