Opinion: Chandler Left The Octagon Due To Embarrassment

They're going to have to feed him Bobby Green or MJ to break his losing streak, those are the only big enough names who are bad enough to lose to Chandler at this point. Maybe they could serve him Chase Hooper's chin since he's on an "old guy ass whooping tour" lately, but Chase might just grapplefuck him too.
Mcgregor burnt through the last of his prime. Imagine Paddy outstriking and outwrestling Chandler 2-3 years ago.

Yeah, I think Chandler might have sent Pimbleman's chin flying 2 years ago.

Chandler is better than his UFC record will ever show IMO. Guy keeps getting absolute terrible matchups and winds up getting the shit beat out of him. Sucks as a fan of his.
Terrible match ups?

Like top 10 guys?

Why did he get beat up so much once he got to the big leagues? He sure got all the opportunities in the world to show how good he was. Then made himself even shittier by sitting out in his mid to late 30s waiting like a pick me for Conor who wouldn't even let him give him a blow job.

Probably had something to do with it, it was a proper emasculating beatdown.

Low IQ in the cage
His own fault for accepting a rematch with Charles after being finished by Dustin (I assume he thinks he is better than he is)
Too short for LW, unfortunately (that's why he has to lunge a lot to close the distance)

Good heart, good good, good cardio, good power, well rounded, but low fighting IQ... which is very weird, because he is quite smart and he knows how to train

I agree that he mostly lost to the best, but his only wins are 0-8 Tony and Hooker, who is a good win, but who had his share of loses.

Was he worse than Irene Aldana in the Dumont fight?.
I think he knows it's over, he was always losing, getting Mic time and still fighting up the rankings. He looked really bad.
Maybe his kids were there too (as in other fights).. a bunch of things could haver been on the guy's mind

Left the octagon to not die via being beaten to death you mean.

I just don't buy the argument that Chandler's injuries were so severe that he couldn't hang around for two minutes while Buffer announced the decision. I've seen people busted up far worse and still congratulate the other fighter. He didn't get knocked out, he didn't break a bone, there wasn't a spine issue. He was bleeding from cuts, sure, but that happens most fights. I think facing the fact that he's now lost 5 of his last 6, and the fight wasn't remotely competitive, and his hero was in the building led to him choosi/ng bad sportsmanship. It's in these trying moments that you see a man's true character. Will Dana cut him now?
Lol, it's not the Middle Ages FFS.

I don't think this is true. Chandler has one of those styles where he just wants to tough you out for lack of a better statement. That's kind of been his thing even in Bellator. Based on how he fights if prime Chandler and prime Frankie Edgar fought for the title I would lean Edgar slightly. Maybe that's biased but Chandler is not getting terrible matchups. You see what Volkanovski did against Lopes? Especially when you are older you have to fight smarter and Chandler does not fight smart.

Trump derangement is out of hand on this site

Myself included. However, I gotta rewatch the fight, but chandler got too excited once again and put himself at risk. Think he went for a submission and got over zealous.
Tried to take the back and got way too high up. Paddy lifted his hips and reversed him easily. It was a wrestling/BJJ 101 mistake. It really surprised me how poorly he maintained position.

I don't know. I think his face was literally broken. Fighter or no, I'd imagine you'd want to get that taken care of ASAP.

Yeah all the top guys scoffed at Paddy, its a see you at the bottom moment.

I didn't see the fight but fighters don't usually do postfight interviews after getting finished so why would Chandler have stayed?

I'm sure he had the big sads he couldn't call out McSexualHarrasment for the 1000th time.

That poor kid of his has seen him take some absolute beatings in the cage my lord

Dude went to college, just go be with your family man

That UFC LW belt was never your friend
