Ongoing Team Lloyd Irvin Scandal - Part 6

thanks to lethal and zankou for keeping this shame train rolling. people deserve to know

I am sorry to say I had no part in the reversal, though I did log in tonight planning to resign as mod in protest.

Others deserve the credit, and Sherdog should also be given credit for standing up when it's the right thing. Regardless of whether you are pro Lloyd or anti, it's vital that people be free to discuss such important issues.

Respect, Zankou. I appreciate that you'd be willing to do that.

Thanks also to Lethal for helping us out to keep these things in the light.

Thank you Lethal!

Thanks Lethal.

It is much appreciated.

No problem guys, glad I could help in any way, regardless of how minor my assistance was.

Cheers.

obviously I didnt express my "great news" post correctly as it seems to have been deleted.

Anyhow are we likely to ever find out why the sudden turn around in policy?

Props to the mods by the way, i always thought you guys did a great job of keeping the other threads on track in what was obviously a difficult and heated topic.

I had no idea that anything had gone down.
People need to know who Lloyd is

thanks for doing what you can do, but the bosses should be ashamed. i'm very disappointed.

Probably to avoid litigation

It's unfortunate that America doesn't require plaintiffs to pay the defendants' legal fees in cases the plaintiffs lose. I could see LI suing Crave and losing but still costing Crave a lot of money and time. In fact, that would be my guess as to why they temporarily halted LI discussion, so that they could figure out how legit the legal action was and whether or not it would be summarily dismissed vs. Crave having to spend time and money fighting the accusations. Though frankly I'm not sure how LI could even sue them. I'm no lawyer, but my understanding is that libel requires the presentation of statements of fact which are false and harmful to the defendant. Providing an internet forum for 3rd parties to share their opinions on a case doesn't seem to me to indemnify Crave in any way, but I could certainly be wrong.
