He needs to cross train (and I believe he does?) but that will benefit most fighters mid-career.
His coach got him from a nobody to a world champion, and Sean absolutely murdered his only other opponent rematch.
IMO there are no bantamweights in the world that beat Merab right now. Yan is absolutely world class and looked hopeless/exasperated against Merab. Dude is on a historic 13 fight win streak and making an argument for GOAT of the division.
Sean will be fine, he's just not the GOAT.
