I’d like to see 4 parties- I’d take neo con/2000s republicans and an extreme MAGA alt right party. We can have dems and far left progressive liberal hippy assholes like me.

I truly wonder how it would all shake out if we had more options and more voters.

We'd see the parties make coalitions, just like everywhere else.

I agree. A parliamentary system with multiple parties is much better. In particular, minority governments (which can't happen with only 2 parties, obviously) often produce a level of consensus-building and cooperation you'll rarely see in a two-party system. Parties have to work together or they end up having another election and the electorate fucking hates that.

Sadly, the situation in Canada for about the last year is the exception that proves the rule. There's been a logjam there but things are motion again now.
